Eugenio Calabi (wiki), Italian-born American mathematician, supposedly died aged 100 on Sunday 24th according to a post on his Wiki talk page.

A big name in that field.

Not him, but his wife Mina Swaminathan, herself a notable educationist, has died at 88. The Swaminathan looks quite rough here:

In the box on the right, it says that one of Mickey Rooney's many conquests wives Elaine Devry died on 20 September 2023. But I dunno if there is an obituary, also the lead text doesn't have that death date written. By the looks of it, she had a pretty decent career, with lots of credited roles.

It would have taken you the whole of 10 seconds to look at the edit history, click on the IP and see that today alone that editor had killed off about 20 people.

Vandalism. Next.

Since September 9 last year, the Wikipedia page of former WBO Cruiserweight champion Tyrone Booze has said he died on September 5, 2022. There's a couple of tweets from around the same time saying he died as well, but nothing I can find from a brief google on boxing websites. Weird that a world champion could (seemingly) die so off-the-radar.

Nothing in that link says he's dead. According to the edit history he was marked as dead for a whole 33 minutes.

His death was added by an anonymous user, then reverted due to Wikipedia policies.

By my experience, this is a legit edit. And I think you quite miss the scope of this thread.
