LuFisto's doctor -- according to the patient -- says they got all the cancer out during surgery.
Sounds positive enough to take her off any short lists and expect her in the squared circle very soon.

Nick Busick

Raising money to pay for treatments of Esophageal Cancer

Obit chances are iffy because in his 2 WWE stints one was as a jobber in the late 70s and another for a year in the early 90s as the low card charecter he is most known for portaying Big Bully Busick. In btwn his wrestling gigs he was a full time Cop

Busick reportedly dead: https://www.bluegrassmma.com/2018/05/former-mma-promoter-and-wwe-wrestler-nick-big-bully-busick-passes-away/

Big Bully Busick didn't just set the lowness of the bar today,he is The Bar

Busick took up two whole pages in the blue WWF Merlin sticker album back in 199(2?) despite never making a PPV event. Cagematch says he only actually had 8 TV matches during his "Big Bully" run.

Looking at Cagematch's listing for Busick drove me to YouTube to watch Sid squash him in under a minute back in the day. Which then led me to this: Koko B Ware, of all fucking people, absolutely hamming on some jobber:

Interesting quote from The Patriot after he retired.

He said that fifty people who he once worked with in the wrestling business are now dead

Make that fifty one Cunto...

The bar on wrestler obit notability is really really low now, apparently.

(This is a good thing.)

Wouldn’t be the Sun without a bit of exaggeration, they billed him as a ‘WWE Legend’

If Twitter is any indication of health, it's worth noting occasional tweeter Perry Saturn has been quiet since the end of January and regular tweeter Vader has been dormant since May 9th.

Also note that she said he discontinued all treatments a few weeks back.

Let's see if the UK will also follow the family of the wrestlers. Justin Credible Reveals That His Wife Only Has Six Months To Live.

Axl Rotten (ECW star, 1 WWE appearance, a few ECW tag titles, mostly indies) got a QO, so a former ECW World Champ would get one. The wife of a former ECW World Champ, I'm not so sure, unless the Sun gets the "mother with cancer" angle.

Relapsed brain cancer, this was always a high probability risk, especially when it became so malignant.

Genuinely could have been a star if not for the cancer.

Vaders apparently had more heart surgery.

Saturn doesn't keep well either. irc he has brain injuries and the like, and he spent 5 years as a homeless drug addict not so long ago. Also, he rather famously in wrestling lore got shot several times stopping a gang rape.

Yes, that's two operations for Vader in 2018.  Saturn was close to losing his residence in 2016 but never did hear if he did.  I remember the gang rape case.  He said he hadn't realized he'd been shot until later on.

Deep-in-the-game pro wres fans will be aware of "Megaman" Tom Magee: the man who Vince McMahon wanted to replace Hulk Hogan in the late 80s, only to be scuppered by the fact that Magee couldn't wrestle for shit.

Anyway, Magee had his head kicked in over a parking spot altercation last week, and the photos aren't pretty.

Stan Kowalski's died a few days ago (aged 91). He was three times AWA tag champ back in the 1960s as Murder Inc. (a great tag team name imo) with Tiny Mills (long gone). Reapers on a bit of an AWA fix lately.

Anyhow, ten really old wrestling connections you might consider for a deadpool. I was going to say "oldest living", but you know, between people considered long dead showing up at reunion shows, and the fudging of ages, it's one of those lists that people appear on as much as get taken off for dying!

Vicky Askew (1920) - Vince McMahon's mum, so fringes of fame.

Joe D'orazio (1922) - Obit likely as oldest British wrestler, shows up at those reunion shows they do.

Bill Mercer (1926) - Old time commentator

Carlos Rocha (1927) - Wrestled for the WWF back in the 50s.

Karl Karlsson (1927) - possibly

Cowboy Bob Ellis (1929)

Pampero Firpo (1930) - who already appears on a few deadpools, I see

Jacques Rougeau Sr (1930) - Promoter, dad to Jacques and Ray (and Armand), former commentator.

Len Rossi (1930) - retired to run a health food store, outlived his own son.

Dick "The Destroyer" Beyer (1930) - An actual proper legend.

Don Leo Jonathan (1931) - Legend, now said to be in very poor health

Dave Kidney (1931) - That guy!

Tony Marino (1931) - Wrestled as Batman, worked with Bruno Sammartino, teamed with Bobo Brazil to win regional tag titles and feuded with Abdullah the Butcher. Not bad for a journeyman!

Any deadpool with relaxed qualifying obit requirements (ie, the Deathlist Cup, Hares Pool, etc) will be OK here as all of the above will be covered by Slam Sports (a respected Canadian news site) and their wrestling section.

Possible contender for oldest living professional wrestler: Tona la Tapatia, a luchadora who worked in the EMLL between 1958 and 1980, was apparently born December 17, 1918, and as far as the internet seems to know is still alive.

Wouldn't exactly bet on a QO though.
