Fergie86 376 Posted May 5, 2018 Hope sir Alex gets well soon as a United fan given me some of the best moments of my life. No manager will match his level of success at the top level for so long a true great he might not be everyone’s cup of tea but can’t deny he was a great manager

openviews 334 Posted May 6, 2018 From wiki. About 44% of those affected die within a month.[2] A good outcome occurs in about 20% of those affected. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intracerebral_hemorrhage One of the things celebrated about Fergie was his encyclopedic knowledge/memory, hard to imagine that if he does survive this that he will be the same man as before. charon 4,943 Posted May 6, 2018 Hmmmm. Anybody know anything re Willie Todd, the only man to have sacked Fergie as a manager? Can't see anything in last 5 years, and he'd be @ 97 now.

I was wondering about Willie Todd myself recently but couldn't find anything either though he must still be alive as surely there would be an announcement somewhere maybe if Sir Alex does die and i hope he doesn't there will be some report on him being the only man to sack Sir Alex and we may find out then a long shot but who knows? msc 18,476 Posted May 6, 2018 Had a very quick look in the records and there is a William Todd who died in Paisley at the right age in 2015. However, given the hattrick - sacked Fergie, got an MBE off the Queen, won something daft like 4 or 5 medals for his WW2 service - I'd assume there's folk keeping tabs on him and an obit would have appeared if that guy was him? British airmen who got shot down but escaped the Germans are practically the lifeblood of the Telegraph. Also he appears to be a hate figure among St Mirren fans but no references to his death on their forums.
charon 4,943 Posted May 6, 2018 I did ask on p&b, enough Mirrens on there. And here.
