There have been a lot of strained entries the past few weeks. By all means put all the C List celebs you want but recognize them as such.

Twelve years ago, European Cup (x2) winning football manager Brian Clough died.

clough.jpg

Some Cloughy quotes:

"Rome wasn't built in a day. But I wasn't on that particular job."

"I only ever hit Roy the once. He got up so I couldn't have hit him very hard."

On who might have nominated him for a knighthood: "I thought it was my next-door neighbour because I think she felt that if I got something like that I would have to move."

"I wouldn't say I was the best manager in the business. But I was in the top one"

"“We talk about it for 20 minutes and then we decide I was right”

There will never be another Brian Clough a true one off and a legend even if he was a few bottles short of a crate. Some more classic Clough Quotes

"I can't even spell Spaghetti never mind talk Italian, how could i tell an Italian to go and grab the Ball? he might grab mine."

"The River Trent is lovely, i should know i have being walking on it for the past 18 years."

"When i go, God is going to have to give up his favourite chair."

"Beckham? his wife can't sing and his barber can't cut hair"

25 years since Gordon Bashford finally went off-road.

You might not know the name, but you know his work.

Him having more than one life would be good for dead poolers.

I'd be inclined to blame the green eggs.
