I would have given her a fair chance to QO abd so she has.
alt obits guy 3,371 Posted April 6, 2022 Boris Brott, the artistic director of the Orchestre classique de Montréal and one of Canada's best ever known conductors, has died. He was 78. Brott was the victim of a hit-and-run. He ended up being fourth reserve, absolutely highlighted for this year. Typical, he's gone and done a Des O'Connor on me. drol 11,954 Posted June 18, 2022 Likely the most important living Italian pianist, Giovanni Allevi, diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Only 53. Don't think he will go anytime soon, but hard to think he will be alive in ten years.
gcreptile 10,978 Posted July 13, 2022 British-born conductor Bramwell Tovey has died: https://eu.providencejournal.com/story/news/local/2022/07/13/rhode-island-philharmonic-orchestra-conductor-bramwell-tovey-artistic-director-dead-ripo-cancer/10050317002/ Frequent pick in deadpools after his somewhat public cancer fight with sarcoma. Might have been on quite a few 2023 lists already. Edit: Actually a miss for the DDP, strange. Maybe I'm confusing it with other pools (Death By Numbers?) His cancer was not that bad statistically, but a couple of months ago, there were bad news, or so I recall.

YoungWillz 21,057 Posted September 2, 2022 Probably the most famous choral conductor in Britain not to have a Wiki page, Terry Edwards, the founder of London Voices (who have performed choral parts for the Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter franchises among many other movies), reported dead: A 6ft 9in giant of man with a close relationship to Georg Solti, he moved to singing after failing to qualify with the GB Basketball Team for the 1964 Olympics. Became the permanent Chorus Director of the Royal Opera House in 1991, though I'm not sure when he retired from that role, perhaps 2004 according to this including a link to a podcast including an interview from 2018 https://classicaltop5.podbean.com/e/bonus-edition-terry-edwards/. There's an out of date bio here, including his dob: https://www.bach-cantatas.com/Bio/Edwards-Terry.htm
