Ideas and Possibilities for 2010

Recommended Posts

Not sure where to post this (as I don't believe he has his own thread), but Iain McColl (RabC Nesbit fame) is supposed to be in remission. I read it in the News of the World a couple of weeks back but there was no online link.

Anyway...if you thought he was a Idea or Possibility for 2010, hes not...

Should also be in the other Ideas and possibility thread, the one that contains the list as an easy reference.

He may be in the clear with the cancer but we can still have some hope.

The article focussed on the fact that McColl had been arrested for posession of cannibis. When they arrested him he was carrying 5000 pounds in cash. Every mugger in Glasgow will now be looking out for him. :referee: A good knifingwill give us an unnatural death bonus. :ghost3:

as promised I behold give you information on one Tuli Kupferberg.

Tuli had a stroke earlier this year and being that he's well intoo his 80s it might be that he's about to inhale his last. It would be sad since he is a decent man.

More on Tuli and the rest of The Fugs::::

Tuli and The Fugs

Maybe some other Fugs are reaching their end as well........................any information on Ed Sanders would be appreciated.

Casino billionaire Stanley Ho, 87, one of Asia's richest men, is in hospital. News sources seem unable to agree on his diagnosis.

The Apple Daily cited unnamed sources as saying that Mr Ho had tripped and hit his head and had required surgery. The Economic Times said he had haemorrhoids.

Keith Bradshaw, the chief executive of the MCC, is resigning citing a "conflict of interest". He denies that his decision has anything to do with the fact he is suffering from bone cancer.

Jailed American cult leader Warren Jeffs is currently being force fed in an Arizona prison to "prevent the possibility of imminent death"

Mihir Bose, the BBC's sports editor has quit with immediate effect for "personal reasons". I wonder why he was in such a rush to quit, maybe he's ill? I need to know.

Frank Kelly AKA Father Jack has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. Feck.

There are conflicting reports about Frank Kelly's health. He's telling the BBC that he is almost cured of his cancer, but the Daily Express are painting a much darker picture. Both articles confirm that the cancer spread to his liver.

Maybe he's just personally realised that he's a rubbish presenter. His 'to camera' pieces on the news never fail to get my goat due to his general ignorance, lack of presentational skills and blatant freebie-blagging.

And lest we forget his behaviour when the death of Bob Woolmer was announced with all the attendant rumours of foul play

When BBC sports editor Mihir Bose was awoken in the middle of the night by the sensational news that Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer had died at the Cricket World Cup, did he leap into action, thanking his source and throwing himself into the story with his usual gusto? Did he fcuk!

"It's not a big enough story for a sports editor," he mumbled sleepily into the phone before popping back into bed to give that huge head a few more hours beauty sleep.

So the reporters already at work, or on the way, got to work, began detailing the story and following leads. By the time all the higher profile programmes were due to go to air, out of the blue came Mihir Bose, riding out of the sunrise and stealing sound bites from colleagues left, right and centre, giving the impression that he'd been up all night, on what was, after all, a huge sporting story, and gravely intoning facts that had just been spoon fed into his fat face.

Anubis, ref Mihir Bose, it does seem like he's resigned due to some mundane professional disagreement. I was thinking/hoping more along the lines of terminal cancer or outraging public decency - in which case he might have topped himself - but sadly not.

Moving on, how about Wall St billionaire financier and philanthropist Lionel Pincus? He's currently in the news as his wife, a Jordanian princess, is spending his money at quite a rapid rate. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and is now deemed as physically and mentally incompetent to manage his own affairs.

Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader resigned just over a month ago, refusing to explain why, but stating the decision had nothing to do with his health. He is now in hospital in a serious condition suffering from pneumonia. There was speculation about his health last year when he suddenly cancelled an appearance with no explantion.

I consider that Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi be added to 2010's list. The Lockerbie bomber has been released to his native Libya on the grounds that he is suffering from terminal prostate cancer.

No sh*t Sherlock, do you consider his purported 3 month life expectency will hinder him making the start-line for the 2010 Deathlist?

Jack Poole the man in charge of organising the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, suffering from pancreatic cancer. I just thought I would mention it, in case anyone is looking for an ill Canadian for a certain upcoming deadpool.

No Wikipedia article though, which means one that sticks would have to be created.

Two years later he still hasn't got a Wikipedia page, which is a shame. I suppose there wouldn't be any point in mentioning that his health has deteriorated recently, he's undergone further cancer surgery and he's just missed a crucial Olympic Committee meeting... :D

Just noticed that Lee Kerslake is missing from Uriah Heep's upcoming 40th anniversary dates and in fact left the band for 'medical reasons' in 2007. No idea about said reasons or his current health, but deffo obit-worthy. Whilst their career in the main markets might best be termed 'sporadic' Heep are a mainstay of old school rock who still sell out stadiums where such sounds reign, like Scandanavia and East Europe. Also their somewhat colourful past, including a post-Glasnost gig that sparked Russia's first ever rock riot, should mean the obit hacks already have something nailed.
