You forgot Hemingway and McInnes again. Hughes is dead.

(I) Not updating my list.

(II) Didn't forget the two other buggers, that was followed up in your later post.

(III) If someone wants to do an up to date list, I'll quote that when one of the warmongers dies.

I wonder who is the highest ranked WW2-Veteran who is still alive. Probably Rudolf Arendt (born 1923) who was a german Admiral in WW2.

Another candidate would be Hans von Seggern (born 1914) who was a officer.

Both are German.

Mordaunt Cohen, the UK's oldest Jewish war veteran, has died.  He was 102.  Lt. Col. Cohen began as a gunner in World War II, but was later promoted to a commissioned officer and commanded a unit in Nigeria.  He was one of the last surviving senior officers who served in the Second World War.

Just read an obit for Bletchley Park code-breaker Sybille Higginson (101) - in a local paper so not sure how significant she was but she was an MI6 agent after the war.

One of the last known Pearl Harbor survivors in southeastern North Carolina has passed away.

William “Bill” Hendley, a longtime resident of Wilmington, died on April 28 at the age of 99.

Hendley was just 17 years old and serving on the battleship USS Oklahoma when it was critically damaged and eventually capsized during the Japanese assault on the Hawaiian naval base on Dec. 7, 1941.

During a 2015 interview, Hendley said he and several other men were taking a shower when five or six torpedoes struck the port side of the ship. Hendley said his chief petty officer pushed him and eight other men out of the shower, knowing he wouldn’t be able to get out.  “He had a big belly,” Hendley recalled during the interview. “One guy said the last thing he saw was him saying his prayers because he knew he wouldn’t get out.”

June Brown's home front service - somebody remind me. I'm assuming she smoked so much that Nazi reconnaissance aircraft couldn't separate out the damage from incendiary devices and the fug from tobacco.

Dutch WW2 veteran Jan Linzel dies aged 103.

The last surviving Dutch WW2 veteran why flew missions in early May 1940 against the invading Luftwaffe died at the age of 103. After the Dutch surrender he managed to escape to England where he flew the Spitfire and the Hawker Tempest.

He flew over 150 missions against Nazi Germany.
