Temple University's Acting President Joanne Epps, died on September 19th at age 72, after falling ill at a memorial event for historian and author Charles Blockson, 89, who died June 14th. Temple is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Hasn’t been publicly announced or reported on but author and political commentator Michael Parenti,  considered by many to the one of the leading Marxist intellectuals in the United States, is in the end-stages of Alzheimer’s disease according to his son and others who have reached out to him in the last year or so.

Chen Junwu (17 March 1927-) Oil-refinery engineer, Song Ping's brother-in-law, too ill to attend his sister's funeral in 2019.

 

Chen Junwu visited this month. Permanently hospitalised, his physical condition is so bad he can't pose for photos (probably hooked up to machines considering how some months ago they visited Wang Xiji who was described as "healthy" despite being very frail, having discolored hands and a nasogastric tube) and apparently unable to talk
