Who Will Be The First Rolling Stone To Die?

Recommended Posts

My interest in Mick Jagger's private life is so intense, that I learned about his GF's existence from the news of her death.

Anyway, why I'm really writing this: what a daft name, L'Wren.

regards,

Hein

Is it a cre8tiv spelling of Lauren, do you think? I have no idea how it's supposed to be pronounced.

Newsreaders were pronouncing "Le Wren", as if identifying a small songbird in franglais.

She changed her name from L'uann.

I understand that you want to change your name when you're called that, but one would think the replacement would be more sensible.

I already parsed her chosen name as pretentious L'Shite.

Hein

So her friends could still call her L' for short.

Maybe our fellow deathlister might want to be know as L'ard from now on?

I wonder what that manager was like. A Bavarian aristocrat....... typical of the kind of whacky things we hear about from the 60s. I was thinking perhaps it a Brian Epstein-type thing where he managed them because he fancies the piss out of the lead singer? :D

Their long time session sax player , Bobby Keys is dead at 70.

Did the solo on Brown Sugar, but better remembered as giving Keef a hand with a telly removal in 72.

Not quite sure where to put him (film producers? jazz? prog? famous Georgians?), but impresario (I guess) Giorgio Gomelsky, who was influential in the Stones' early career, as well as being involved with many other bands, has died.

Ronnie Wood. We've already lost two famous Englishmen to cancer at the age of 69. Ronnie Wood turns 69 this year.

I'm actually surprised that members of The Rolling Stones appear on so few people's lists in the various games on here.

My guess is that Bill Wyman will be the first one to go for no more sophisticated an intellectual reason than he's the oldest!

Bear in mind that the others may tour a lot more than he does, also he quit smoking almost 7 years ago.

I'll go for Bill Wyman.

On the basis that I have now said that, he'll now outlive one of the others.

I've saved you Bill, a small token of appreciation in my bank account would be lovely.

Some german papers are saying Bill Wyman has cancer?

Edit: Early prostate cancer, ah well, he should be ok.
