I mean, because of Arghton's posts I now have the impression that half the Finnish people are old, sick or dead.

And Arghton finally mentions the Finn I picked in AO, all it took was a top 50 dying Finns list

Don't know the current health status of any of these fella's from Italy but certainly should be on people's radars the next few years based on age.

Nino Castelnuovo born 1936 -100% would get a DDP Qualifying Orbit because of his roles in Umbrellas of Cherbourg and The English Patient

Lando Buzzanca born 1935 -70-80% certain he would get a QO Orbit . Another actor Giorgio Albertazzi, with a similiar lengthy resume in Italy got a Guardian Orbit earlier this year.

Aldo Puglisi born 1935- 50/50 chance Hasn't been in anything in decades. Most memorable performance,Peppino in the classic comedy" Seduced And Abandoned" was never shown in UK theater's according to IMDB

Nino Castelnuovo is reportedly morte: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=it&u=https://www.ansa.it/sito/notizie/cultura/2021/09/07/e-morto-lattore-nino-castelnuovo-_fd0cf202-2037-4d69-abcc-76866b3b5f4a.html&prev=search&pto=aue

Vicente Fernandez update:

"He is currently under treatment. We are waiting a response in the recovery of mobility and respiratory effort. At this moment, Mr. Vicente Fernández is stable, awake, with analgesia and sedation and receiving rehabilitation therapy"

Apparently has some kind of a peripheral nerve infection/disease that caused him to fall from his "own height" causing him a spine injury. Also developed a lung condition while in ICU.

Vicente Fernandez Death rumors circulating, but being refuted by family.

Big one in Algeria. Also he was an icon of the Italian left for some time and leftist director Gillo Pontecorvo had him starring in "The Battle of Algiers".

I sure hope no one tells him about the phallic object being shoved down his throat, might give him a heart attack

Although technically "old news" by now, I don't think the following news was ever reported here:

Those of you who watched the French equivalent of Dancing With the Stars in 2011 might recall an octogenarian actress being one of the contestants. Marthe Mercadier (born 23 October 1928) was the 3rd person to be eliminated, so with that (probably traumatic) failure in mind, perhaps it's a blessing in disguise that she was diagnosed in February 2013 with Alzheimer's?

http://www.lepoint.fr/marthe-mercadier-a-la-maladie-d-alzheimer-08-04-2014-1811067_19.php

A more recent article, from 2016, revealed that she once stated that she'd rather "kill herself" than end up in a nursing home.

http://www.closermag.fr/tele/videos-tele/marthe-mercadier-atteinte-d-alzheimer-elle-a-perdu-la-memoire-immediate-video-593116

Marthe Mercadier is no more: https://www-lemonde-fr.translate.goog/disparitions/article/2021/09/15/marthe-mercadier-la-reine-du-theatre-de-boulevard-est-morte_6094777_3382.html?_x_tr_sl=fr&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=nui,sc,elem

One for the French Speaking Deathlist I understand.

Camus won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival in 1983 with "La Colmena" ("The Beehive"), the film about the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War that converted the homonymous novel by the great Camilo José Cela into images, and, the following year, a special mention from the jury at the Cannes Film Festival for his adaptation of "Los santos inocentes" ("The Holy Innocents") by Miguel Delibes, and its two stars won the best actor award jointly.
