If TMZ ever picked someone to blow it on, hard to think of someone more fitting than Jerry Lee Lewis the indestructible!

It appears that everyone reporting it is referencing the TMZ story, which no longer exists.

My guess is that he is on his death bed and TMZ wrote his obituary in preperation. The intern just pressed upload on accident.

It says in the report someone claiming to be his rep told them he died. Likely a miscommunication or someone played a joke on TMZ.

Either way, EVERYTHING REVERSE. Nothing to see here haha

Definitely too much smoke for there not to be something IMO.

But, oof, what a ding for TMZ's credibility. Now everyone doubting one of their death reports can just go "remember JLL?"

Ahahahah omg…

have we ever see a dead tag being deleted ?

I think Eddie Kulukundis? "Died" in Aug 2020, rose from the dead around eleven days later and was given a tag that was I recall called "undead", and then died for the second and final time in February 2021.

TMZ have done this on several occasions before, but not for quite a while now.

More people will now hear about the false reporting of his death than the initial reports.

Yeah, in the past ~10 years I've followed deadpooling, I've only noticed a few (and it's usually stuff that wasn't their problem, like Tony Dow and Tanya Roberts). The potentially apocryphal story about Lil Wayne dying per them might have been before my time.

If JLL actually does live on for, like, over a month, people won't forget that one quickly. Definitely their biggest blunder I've seen off the top of my head. But we all make mistakes!

I was wondering why Piers Morgan tweeted JLL was still alive.
