Both wasted picks then for next year.  They aren't ill in the least, and age is only how you feel.  They feel all young and squishy.
SC

But if they both die, next year, and neither are on the list, then you all will be like "Damn, we should've listened to Lewd." :P

Ah, "Listen To Lewd" the little known Donna Summer followup to "Dinner With Gershwin". ;)

So he is free and clear health wise for half the year.

This is the Killer we're talking about

His various health issues have impacted him to the point the BBC had to subtitle him in the most recent documentary in which they used interview footage.

Committee definitely should’ve kept him on.

Seems legit. Press will be all over it soon.

Discussion on Little Richard from his dedicated thread.

As the mods have seen fit to shut the thread we could discuss Jerry Lee Lewis in after the death of Little Richard, I'm forced to open this one.

I agree no reason to keep the previous one closed.

Merged your post and subtitle into this and repurposed as thread for JLL.

But then the previous one is full of Little Richard references!

Alas, it's all a bit...you know....

I closed it because it was a Jerry v Dick. Jerry won. There wasn't really any need to keep it open.  However, as it's been reopened..................

It wasn't a "who dies first" thread but rather a venue to discuss both Little Richard and JLL and other early rockers. Though Richard later got a standalone thread once he appeared on DL which muddled things.

Anyways as the original thread is @harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy 's doing so I think I'll wait and see what he feels best before tampering any further.

Acht, I'm not the polis, ha!

Just thought we had better have a thread one way or the other to preserve Jerry Lee. How the gods of DL do it, that is how it shall be done! Which has now been done! ;)

Kind of fitting that the Killer is the last one standing...

All good with me. I'm just sad either of them has to go.

(The chaps, not the threads)

Ta, and very much agreed on that sentiment. The LR-specific posts have been merged into his standalone thread while those about JLL and the lesser known rock pioneers remain here.

So besides Sonny Rollins and JLL, are there any other 50's major solo artists left standing?

I can think of Helen Merrill but don't know if she is considered as big as both of them.

Er, Tony Bennett and Harry Belafonte who are both on the list?
