Magere Hein 1,400 Posted December 16, 2013 Kim Kyong-hui left unscathed. This whole thing could of course just be a family affair: Kim: "Oh, Kim, you know your uncle and I have these terrible rows. Could you have a word with him?" Kim: "Say no more, Auntie Kim." regards, Hein
maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted December 16, 2013 I'm guessing I'm not the only one appauled at the current events in North Korea, all that dead pool potential and virtually no names in the public domain so close to 1 January. Did some digging and discovered their most famous surviving dissident is Shin Dong-hyuk, who was once forced to watch two members of his family being executed. The Guardian/Observer have reported on Shin, so would doubtless deliver the point scoring report should it be required in 2014. On the down side, he's famous for being the only escapee to South Korea from the north's highest level of security for dissidents. On the positive side, they want him dead someone hired assassin wouldn't count as an official execution so would be point scoring.
Going Underground 74 Posted December 16, 2013 Kim Kyong-hui left unscathed. Wow that was so close to my greatest ever Dead Pool pick. I thought it would be the drink that got her to be honest and not her nutter nephew but looks like she has evaded both. Goddamit!!
adrian0719 224 Posted December 20, 2013 Apparently, Kim Kyong-hui has left North Korea for medical treatment after a heart attack.

angryGreatness 96 Posted December 24, 2013 The recent rash of executions may have been ordered while Kim Jong-un was heavily drunk.

Octopus of Odstock 2,197 Posted January 6, 2014 The Mirror report, reading between the lines, seems to suggest that her death was a little while ago, sometime in December, rather than something that's just happened. If so, that's gonna really piss off those who picked on the DDP for 2014. I wonder if, in all seriousness, we'll know by 31st December 2014. Or would points be awarded? Magere Hein 1,400 Posted January 6, 2014 Then don't watch it then, No-one's forcing you. Then again, the good doctor may be an amnesiac who watches it by way of a cure. You mean an insomniac? And no I don't actually force myself watch it....... so yes he's correct, nobody is forcing me. Now why did I write that? Perhaps I irreparably sozzled away my memory and became a, wosname, starts with an 'a'.... Oh well, I suppose this forum is more exciting than Sherlock. BTW, did any DDP contestant stick Mrs. Kim or other high ranking Nort Korean officials on their team? regards, Hein
Dr. Zorders 1,271 Posted January 6, 2014 I think the potential confusion over it caused by the incredible miasma of murkiness that surrounds North Korean affairs in general, should be enough to put people off picking anyone like that, except Kim himself (because surely that would not go unreported for too long). Death Impends 7,977 Posted January 6, 2014 At least one team - Going Underground still has her.
themaninblack 2,112 Posted January 6, 2014 I think it's fair to say at this stage that more than one team has her now... However, if it was before 31/12/2013 then GU and everyone else who picked for this year have been royally fucked up the backpipe!

Going Underground 74 Posted January 7, 2014 So Jan Song-Thaek wasn't fed to dogs and frankly I don't care if he was gorged upon by a herd of rabid Wilderbeest. I'm more interested in the whereabouts of Kim Kyong Hui. If it's not Hakimullah Mehsud giving me 'is he dead, is he alive' headaches, is this Korean Bitch. If indeed she did die last year I will be more pissed off that I missed out on DDP runner-up spot than missing the hit this year.
adrian0719 224 Posted January 9, 2014 Looks like we have a new Sharon. Can't imagine she'll last as long, though. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2536581/Kim-Jong-uns-aunt-alive-vegetative-state-operation-brain-tumour-say-claims.html
Going Underground 74 Posted January 14, 2014 Bit of an update on Kim Kyong-Hui Still nothing concrete whether she is dead or alive and well and living in Droitwich, but this article does lean towards her being alive somewhere and when she does pass they will hold a massive state funeral. All is not lost here for us Kim Kyong-Hui punters.
