Iommi is OK for now but in cheery mood:

Quote

“To me, it’s never gonna go away; it’s always gonna be there,” he continued about his cancer diagnosis. “According to my oncologist, the professor, he said it’s probably gonna come back. So it’s hard to sort of go, ‘Oh, well, that’s brilliant then.’ But I do live [day] by day now, and just every day is a winner, really. And we’ll see. I hope it doesn’t come back, but you never know.”

Looking good at the Rolling Stones Coventry gig.

Looks like DDT is the early favorite to win this year’s deathlist cup with him and Da-Ren going very soon. Of course, the month is still young...

Venom guitarist Jeff ‘Mantas’ Dunn has “died” for five minutes before being revived following a heart attack.

He's ok now though.

Sharleen Spiteri rushed to hospital after blowing 3 discs in her back. She's only 50, but constant pain and touring often don't go well together...

Texas definitely one of the all-time great symphonic sludge metal bands.

Where would be a better place for this to go? I'm not clued up on all the vague thread titles.

Texas still exists? And tours? And do we have Glasgow day today?

That's kind of an oxymoron ;)

Oh that takes a little time my friend.  Esp if you’re a yank, I’ve started a couple threads to be told hey dummy a thread for that exists, and it’s title is a UK celeb no one here has ever heard of (see: Lara Roxx e.g.).  So this site can be a victim of its over-cuteness at times.

Give it 6 months.

Bruce Corbitt, of Warbeast and Rigor Mortis, has esophageal cancer, stage 3 or possibly 2:

Curiously, I already had him on my longlist (#512) because of heart failure and money problems, and I suspected drug use, hmm...

OK I REEEEALY thought I updated this (or someone else did lol) to say his treatments were unsuccessful and he had maybe a year to live.
Cut away  a few months, and throw in some experimental treatments, and shazam Corbitt  says his C is 'nearing remission'.
There's your Bruce Corbitt update.

I assumed there was an update on him by now on here, and couldn't find it?

Anyhow, treatment failed, terminally ill, 2 months to 2 years left.

Anyhow, you know what they say about

a) claiming remission 6 month after a 2 year prognosis

b) experimental treatments

c) "I totally beat cancer".

Oh SirC harps on that all the time.  To Bruce's credit he hasn't (yet) made such a misstep.  But I've dashed a few names to the side of a potential theme team I always threaten I'm going to launch with those who 'beat' cancer.

I remember Ross's name popping up here now that you mention it.  That's crazy coincidence there...

Only just realised..that's what I get for having someone on ignore...and the search facility not picking up the update.

Also, I attempted three times within thirty seconds to change it to a "never mind" post and it wouldn't let me do that. Kept skipping back to the previous page.

Ah, well I have been Dunn....
