This is not so much about a bigot as it is about a relation of one...

But does anyone know if Nick Griffin's father Edgar (b. 1921) is still alive?

Its sounds like robbery gone wrong. Ancona was targeted most likely because he is a unsympathetic victim.

Someone posted on the Urban75 forums today that veteran British nationalist Martin Webster is seriously ill with heart problems.   The post was promptly deleted, probably because the poster claimed to be a hospital employee and gave away enough information to make potentially make him identifiable.

Webster would definitely get an obit, he was a very prominent figure when support for the National Front peaked in the 1970s.

That's gone international, has it? :P  Our media's been on about it all week.

Well, one thing she is right about is that most of the Australian women in the higher echelons of the international tournament are lesbians.  Dellacqua has come out and apparently it is "common knowledge" that Samantha Stosur,  Nicole Pratt and Rennae Stubbs are all gay.  Apparently just about the only Australian who wasn't is Jelena Dokovic.

UPDATE:  Alicia Molik is married with a kid these days, too.

Good grief.  Meeting bigotry with bigotry itself is disgusting and is not the answer.

Yes and now Mark Latham has joined up with his party!!!!  http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-05-08/mark-latham-joins-liberal-democratic-party/8507842  :D  :D :D

QLD seems to be the worst for nutters for some reason:  Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen and all of his gangsters, Pauline Hanson, Clive Palmer, Bob Katter, Campbell Newman, Barnaby Joyce (for a time), etc, etc.  It seems that the bigger the mouth, the more people are inclined to vote for them, no matter how bizarre their views/policies are.  :o

At least they can't claim responsibility for the worst of the lot, Jacqui Lambie (she is Tasmanian).  She should have been locked away in a lunatic asylum years ago.

I vaguely followed the long drawn out painful process of the Australian election on abc.com.au last time around. Seriously, you guys have some real problems that haven't hit us in NZ yet. Why do you bother with state legislatures which are as incompetent as they are volatile and bloody expensive to boot. Surely the equally volatile federal parliament could do it all. I mean, a separate state parliament for Tasmania? Bloody Norah. And while you're at constitutional reform, could you remove NZ from your constitution? Cheers bro!
