After a year from the post, here are the survivors and the new additions:

13)Satya Mohan Joshi (1919). Nepal.

Satya Mohan Joshi was in hospital with pneumonia until he was discharged yesterday.

New photo in that second article. Doesn't look like someone who's going to see 2023.

Pneumonia and UTI. Suprised he even survived that at 101 or 102.

With a quick search seems like he's been having health issues for a while:

December 2014: Hospitalised with pneumonia, pleural effusion, UTI and gastritis at 95. Reportedly bedridden.

February 2016: "Cough, cold, high BP"

June 2021: Hospitalised with pneumonia and heart issues, wearing nasal cannula in pictures.

February 2022: Hospitalised with pneumonia and UTI.

He wasn't in a wheelchair a year ago.

Apparently Satya Mohan Joshi was working from hospital, soon to release his autobiography.

Impressive guy, said last year that when he dies his body will be donated to longevity research. This far he's always perfectly recovered from whatever he's had though.

Boris Pahor interviewed by the foremost Italian journal, Corriere della Sera.

Frail but very lucid, he wants the journalist ti believe he still has a lover, or has simply a bit of dementia.

Let's hope he uses protection.

This is almost a day of national mourning in Germany, once the word gets out.

5 4 3. Dagny Carlsson (1912-) Swedish blogger and television personality. Has suffered from lung-related troubles, moved to a nursing home and recently donated her house to a cancer research foundation.

Thought it'd be time for an update on Dagny Carlsson.

She was hospitalised last month due to "a little bleeding on the neck" but was discharged around the 28th. She also seems to be mostly wheelchairbound now and almost completely deaf, but is looking forward to her 110th.

You can add to this the ones that I posted on the Idea and Possibilities for 2022 thread such as Edgar Morin, Dominique Marcas, Léon Cligman, Pierre Soulages, Francis Huré, René de Obaldia, Marguerite Jauzelon… who are much more famous and have already appeared on this forum

Death report for French actress Dominique Marcas (wiki), aged 101. Died on 15th Feb. All over social media but no French media picked it up.

Krishnarao Gulabrao Deshmukh died on the 24th of October 1992 according to wikipedia, source is a Parliament of India page I can't access.

S. G. Balekundri is dead, there are articles calling him "late S. G. Balekundri" from over seven years ago. One wikipedia editor mentioned that he died in 1993 and some facebook pictures posted by the institute named after him also mention that he died back then.

No idea about Deoghare, likely long gone. P. A. Thomas could be alive, was alive at the start of the century.

No centenary in March for P. A. Thomas (wiki) as he died on 19 January 1995, aged 72, as per this article by The Hindu which interviews his daughter.

I can understand why you thought he was alive at the start of the century – he has a 2002 credit, but it was for dialogue, so it's likely he wrote it years before and it was adapted later on.

George Boscawen, 9th Viscount Falmouth (wiki) died this morning, aged 102, according to an unsourced edit to his Wikipedia page.

Conservative member of the House of Lords from 1962 to 1999. WWII veteran, serving in the British Army from 1939 to 1946. Also Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall from 1977 to 1994.

If true, he was the last living member of either the Commons or the Lords born in the 1910s.

A DDP pick for 2 teams.

First time I've seen this sort of thing not go in the Dead According To Wiki thread.

Totally unsourced, should be removed until news there is.

I would say that's a fair comment, but... I wanted to quote a prior mention of him on DL, and crossquoting between topics is needlessly complicated from a mobile phone on here!
