Keeping vandalism and edits of personal tributes off his Wiki page is becoming a mission.

If there's any Wiki admins on here, please do lock his page.

Lots of stupid Indians editing his page with shite like "He passed away.... RIP #TataBoyz".

I suppose he was like a deity to them. One step below cows anyway.

The Indian biographies are always crammed with unsourced information, especially in infoboxes.

Ratan Tata is dead.

Obituaries: BBC

Given that Ratan Tata was nearly 87, I was somewhat surprised to see that his step-mother, Simone Tata, is still alive.

She even has her own Wiki page.

Is it just me who thinks of this whenever I see the name Ratan Tata?

Mike Jeffries, CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch 1992-2014 arrested on Sex Trafficking charges.

He is 80 and looks another flavour of Gary Busey.

Jeffries was quite handsome when he was younger. Then went down the plastic surgery route and now has a touch of Jackie Stallone to him.

Bill Munro, founder of travel agency Barrhead Travel, dead at 80.

A big name in Scotland. Surprised there's no Wiki page.

My ex used to worked for Barrhead. Everything was a bit of a race to the bottom with them!

And on Election Day, too.

Robert Kuok reached 100 two days ago, but I don't think he has made any kind of a birthday appearance and there seems to be no info on how he celebrated, so I'm assuming the once indestructible billionaire might be nearing his end. Of course Li Ka-shing was well enough to congratulate him.

How many Asian billionaires there are left born in the 1920s? (on Forbes lists, therefore excluding Sheikhs such as that one Kuwaiti immortal and politicians)

- Lui Che-woo (Aug 1929, 95) $12.8B, Hong Kong, casino operator Galaxy Entertainment Group and property developer K Wah.

Lui Che-woo dead at 95.

Olav Thon (wiki), Norwegian billionaire real estate developer, dead at 101.

First wife died in 2018, so he got remarried in 2019 (as you do). No children, so presumably Anna Nicole Thon will inherit everything.

Kim Dotcom did not have a heart attack, but a heavy stroke:

Harris Rosen, owner and founder of Rosen Hotels (the biggest independent hotel chain in the Orlando area, and no doubt familiar to those of you who have visited Orlando), has died at 85 following complications from a surgery. He received international attention and acclaim, especially on social media, for his philanthropic efforts throughout the region over the last 50 years. Perhaps most notably, he spearheaded, funded, designed, and gave land to, UCF's hospitality school named after himself (which continues to be named as the best or one of the best in the world in the subject, and in which he was heavily involved up to his death).

Personally this was a rather hard post to write for me because I'm an alumni (twice over) of his school and a very close friend of his was my mentor.

The following peers have only tomorrow and Wednesday to attend this session of Parliament otherwise they'll lose theirs seats in the Lords:

Lord Levene of Portsoken (Crossbencher) b. 1941 ms 1997

They can also request a leave of absence if they have a legitimate excuse for non-attendance. Lord Leith (Labour) b. 1947 ms 2004 did this just a few days ago to avoid getting thrown out.

The list may be indicative of illness, or merely just members being busy elsewhere in their lives or disillusioned with the House. However, 18 out of 28 of them are 80+ so worth keeping an eye on.

Peter Levene, Baron Levene of Portsoken retires from Lords: https://hansard.parliament.uk/lords/2024-11-28/debates/A6B9E10B-FF3A-4407-B26E-C76A6EE0AFB0/RetirementOfAMemberLordLeveneOfPortsoken
