Oh yes, Grouty! I was surprised to see he was in 'Game Of Thrones'. Thought he'd be past it by now.

Don't need to watch it to know he is in it, as you obviously do :)

I don't have Sky, or whatever it's on. But I am reading the books, and was interested to see who had been cast.

Although I may have to watch it because Sean Bean's in it.

May I suggest Alan Young to be included in the DL 2015?

1. Being in the DL is about have your full career honoured as you say farewell to Earth. Mister Ed and (the voice of) Scrooge McDuck were very popular in their heydays, and I feel it's time for Alan to be recognized.

2. While he's mostly known in United States, he was born in Northumberland, United Kingdom, so there is a strong British connection here. Perfect for a British death pool.

3. He could be a direct replacement to fellow 1919:er Al Molinaro, who I don't feel has the same status to be included in the list.

4. In 2008, there was an article about his financial and social troubles: http://pagesix.com/2...ull-of-sadness/

5. His last name leaves plenty of room for creative headlines in case he passes away.

Sincere regards,

Predictor.

True. My ex , spit, had a thing about him which I never got. Couldn't even cheer for him in Patriot Games.

I think Tony Booth is a good suggestion, similarly Zara Nutley from Mind Your Language and Never the Twain is said to be in nursing home. She is bound to get an obit as there is a real 70s sitcom bashing vibe at the moment.

Lupita Tovar might be a good idea and Kenneth Anger would be an interesting pick, then there are the cancer types like Caroline Aherne, Rene Angeli

Aye, I've ordered my provisional DDP list alphabetically and Angeli is #1. Doubtless his wife's heart will go on, as and when, like.

Well, that's how it comes out on the team pages! I think my #1 will be him as well TBH...

While Rene Anegil is a solid DDP pick, spouse/manager of a famous person doesn't seem to meet the fame or notability bar of the names the Deathlist committee nominate each year. I reckon he is really only more notable then dying cancer ladies and on par with reality tv stars and youtube personalities.

Jorge Zorreguieta seems like the kind of person who doesnt have a lot of months left but also like the kind of person who wouldn't get an English langauged obit seeing that his only claim to fame is being Queen Maxima's dad...

Photos of a recent public appearance of Zorreguieta... Maybe not a good Deathlist pick (because his lack of real fame) but he could be an interesting DDP pick...

Zorreguieta will get the Daily Mail obit I'm convinced of it, even if just because Hello Magazine are absolutely obsessed with chronicling his final months. But yeah, not a DL-suitable pick.

Feel like Liz Smith may have earned a spot on the list though.

Another 1928 birth

James Watson (http://en.wikipedia....ki/James_Watson)

He was mentioned in The Guardian today

Ooh, extra trendy! We could use that kind of hot publicity-grabbing pick!

Liz Smith is definitely worthy of a place as she is 93 in a few days and retired 5 years ago due to stroke damage and hasn`t been seen in public for quite a while. She is definitely Death List worthy due to The Royle Family and The Vicar Of Dibley which where two of the biggest sitcoms of the 1990`s.If Caroline Aherne is added to the list as well they will be the first DL candidates that are on-screen grandparent and grandchild.I think Jimmy Hill is a good choice for next year but not Desmond Morris or John Nash.

I also think Nicholas Winton is a must have for next years lists top 10 due to his age and notability. His death would easily make the news at 6 and 10 and on a slow news day could make the opening headline. He is 106 next May so even though he appears in reasonable health his condition could easily deteriate by next December.106 and a half is a hell of an age for a man.If we added him he would also be the oldest ever death list candidate.
