Deathrace 1,171 Posted June 14, 2017 Always find Geoffrey Dodsworth quite ironic as he stood down to force a by-election due to ill health in 1979 which is something MPs usually only do when they are on their very last legs and 38 years later he's still batting at the age of 89 having outlived most of his contemporaries.

After hearing that Scalise was hit in the ass, Trump said 'that could be fatal, seeing as Scalise is 100% ass'.

Maybe it was Trump's doctor, who probably said that Scalise is the healthiest shooting victim ever.
gcreptile 10,972 Posted June 14, 2017 Apparently, Scalise's office said that he was in good condition, while the hospital tweeted that he "remains" in critical condition, i.e. was critical before. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/update-steve-scalise-condition So his office is still playing political games by downplaying gun violence. Here are pictures of Trump after visiting Scalise, I think he knows it's worse then he's letting on-
Joey Russ 7,227 Posted June 15, 2017 As much of a liberal as I am, I do hope Steve Scalise makes a full recovery. No one deserves to get shot down like that.
Zsa Zsa's leg 884 Posted June 15, 2017 Trump did another press conference and said "We think he'll recover (insert long pause) we hope..." Very grim. June 16th.

Going to have to agree with June 16th, it's looking really bad now and you can notice a shift in the media reporting. Trump originally said he would recover but is now tempering expectations by saying 'we hope'. If he miraculously pulls through, he'll never be the same again.

He may be wheelchair bound due to the bullet hitting his waist, but he won't be entirely incapacitated like Gabby Giffords.
JiroemonKimura 95 Posted June 17, 2017 He is said to be improving in the last 36 hours but still critical. I personally would give him >50% chance of surviving, but if we are doing sweepstakes I go with June 19. On another note, Vanuatu president dead
