Michel Dupuy, who served as Canadian ambassador to the UN in 1980 and 81, later getting elected to the House of Commons and serving in the early years of the Jean Chretien government as Minister of Multiculturalism and Citizenship (1993 to 1996), as well Minister of Communications during the same time frame, has died. Former Nicaragua President (and of course one of drol's immortals) Violeta Chamorro was hospitalised last week, but already discharged after a "routine medical procedure":

Amaral served as Ambassador of Brazil to the United States between 2016 and 2019
