Next Unexpected "national Treasure" Death

Recommended Posts

Does the person have to be a genuine national treasure, or can they be widely loathed and despised?

More the first but they can be hated by a lot of people:As long as they have a cohort of fans and the media will make a big deal out of their death .

William Roache isn't a National Treasure, and his son is a far better actor.

David Jason?? Unsure if he has any ailments as he isn't on my lists and I can't%

He is considered so I would say whether righly or wrongly.Which son Linus or James?

I was thinking along the lines of Tony Blair. So probably not, then.

Sean Connery, Norman Tebbit and to a (considerably) lesser extent, David Jason are good choices that have been mentioned so far. But then again, all of them are quite old.

If we are talking about "national treasures", I'm assuming that the person would have to be British?

Oh and by the way, if a person is over 80, their death shouldn't come as a shock. Unless they're something special, like royalty, of course...

David Gilmour

He actually did come to mind for some reason, but I don't think he'll die in the next 5 years and probably not in the next 10.

Really just cursed him now though!

Bob Dylan would make 2016 ridiculous...

I honestly think at the moment, Bowie is the musical death of the decade so far. If Dylan makes it into the next decade, Bowie will probably remain the musical death of the decade

Noddy Holder

You've hit the nail on the head there. He is EXACTLY the kind of person who meets the description here - everyone knows him, no one particularly expects him to die imminently...

She must have lost weight then - what about Lisa Riley and Dawn French, did either of them ever lose weight?

And he's.....69

If he did die, he could be the 7th member of the 69-71 club!

Lemmy, Bowie, Jack Bruce, Keith Emerson, Lou Reed and Edgar Froese need a seventh member for their supergroup...

Lisa Riley has recently lost loads of weight and looks pretty good. She was still shit on You've Been Framed though.

Bring back Jeremy Beadle from his grave in that cemetery in London next to Karl Marx

And make sure he brings his deformed hand too!

Putting Peter Falk to one side obviously and with Tony Bennett being too old to qualify, I'll go for Conisbrough's finest Crooner, Tony Christie.

He hasn't made a reality TV show in a while.

He must be doing badly.

Well he has a loyal but small army of supporters and there would be gushings about his death from some so he counts just about.
