Gooseberry Crumble 5,346 Posted September 26, 2017 I remember that either the night in early 2008 when Liz Dawn's last episode of Corrie aired or on the day it was announced she'd be leaving the show (I think it was almost certainly the former) Tony Booth giving an interview about it on Channel 4 news. He was singing the praises of the old style feisty northern battleaxe female characters in Corrie and how they were sadly becoming a rarity. He gave huge praise to Liz and how she made Vera Duckworth such a unique special character. He ended the interview by saying God Bless her. It was really sweet and when I realised they both died so close together I almost immediately rembered this interview and felt the fitting ironic poignancy of it. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
