Overall, March has had the most hits, coming quite a bit ahead, at 43, followed by December and June drawing at 33. This is then closely followed by September, at 32. Some more things to add There was no Deathlist hit in August, up until the 11th Deathlist in 1997. From 2001 to 2005, there were no Deathlist hits in January There has never been a year where there has been a hit every month of the year, the closest to this is 2020, with 10 months where there were hits. The earliest hit ever was on the 4th January 2011, following the death of Gerry Rafferty.
