I doubt that.

Modern cars weigh shit loads because of all the safety zones and other such stuff in them.

That metal bodied Corvette would probably have weighed as much as a MK1 Cortina.

Fibreglass bodies arent as light as people think, I should know, Ive owned 6 Scimitars and they are fibreglass.

My Lotus Excel is also fibreglass and that bastard has had my nuts hit my ankles as ive pushed it into the garage!! :)
