Me neither Toast though I was reluctantly impressed with the music making that followed his teeny bopper fame and the way a lot of L.A.'s great and good - by way of Beach Boys, backing musicians for the likes of Jackson Browne and Joe Walsh etc. - all rallied round to get involved. His story - as told in his autobiography - is surprisingly interesting, basically a typical hippie kid with a love of what's now regarded as classic rock who snagged a role as a jobbing actor that continues to define him. How much space the obituaries will find for that once they've exhausted Daydreamer, The Partridge Family and his latter day troubles remains to be seen. Then again, surely all these sites are doing is writing the inevitable - even the reputable outlets are seeing this as his final hours. Might have to edit out a picture on the Deathrace.
