Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Predictions

Not really the point, is it.

The Sex Pistols thought it was a pile of old wank and the fact that they were put in there anyway doesn't change it.

If you say no thanks to a honour you don’t get awarded it. But with this you can say no thanks and you are still inducted.

Fucking hell, do you need the point hammered home?

They refused it, they didn't want it, they were not interested in it.

The fact that you KNOW they refused it is the whole sodding point.

The fact that a bunch of tossers put them in anyway does not lessen that point.

Biggest omissions from the R&R HoF imho:

The Monkees

Warren Zevon

War

Dick Dale

Ry Cooder

The Big Bopper,  and Chubby Checker are not in the Hall of Fame, either.

Judas Priest should've been inducted in the performers category.... At least they made it in I guess.

Wonder how much  their frontmen being kind of c__t's is the reason The Smith and Smashing Pumpkins keep missing nominations.  Pumpkins especially in the US where the bias of this group comes from .were culturally and commercially bigger then their genreish contemporaries Rage Against The Machine and Soundgarden combined.

I'd love Warren Zevon making it into the HOF, ngl.

Jethro Tull still with zero nominations.  Joke hall fittingly housed in the mistake on the lake.

I feel like he'd get in if they bundled up his nomination with chic somehow. it would override jann's hatred.

Your winners are coming from this lot:

George Michael

The White Stripes

Sheryl Crow

Willie Nelson

Rage Against the Machine

A Tribe Called Quest

How many do they pick?  5?  If they’re categorised as I think they are Tribe gies in for ‘rap’, RATM for ‘metal’ and Willie just because (see: on the heels of Dolly Parton).

That leaves 2 slots and Georgie Porgie defo getting in , and no chance in hell Sheryl, who I love, is getting in before White Stripes, so she’s out:

I didn't know dead people can be included

First group inducted was in 1986 and included Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly. The dead have always been included.

This year's Rock Hall in Memoriam, always liked how they do it. Apparently Kris Kristofferson was honored before the section but I can't find it.
