Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,218 Posted October 6, 2019 In respect of the above, I feel compelled to add a German music legend to the mix. I discovered this genius while living in Germany, back in the early part of the 80s. His albums were peppered amongst my uncles extensive record collection which swung from the delights of Motown to that Eurovision artist Nicoles latest offerings. Ladies and gentlemen I give you......HEINO!!!! 1

maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted October 13, 2019 Let's get summat straight - re the post above and that. I LOVE drug-addled hippie noises and whimsical English proggy twaddle more than is healthy for any human. But the download delight from another obscure blog site today is a collection I've been hunting for some time. A site rejoicing in the name of notveryprettymusic put up this particular volume of TTFTVW today - composed mainly of lurid cash-ins on the hippie craze and low-budget redneck country broadsides affronted at stinking lazy longhairs. So, THIS is what I'm currently listening to: and you can find it here: https://notveryprettymusic.blogspot.com/ 2
TQR 14,388 Posted October 14, 2019 I thought I was nailing this song when I was launching out with it in the car earlier. Unfortunately, a friend of mine who I'd accidentally pocket dialled didn't totally agree.
bladan 293 Posted October 15, 2019 Old Bladey likes this. Shantel presents (in 2011) Kosher Nostra, an unparalleled journey back in time to the music clubs, vaudeville theaters and gambling casinos in the U.S.A. The sound can be described as a wild mix of swing, jazz, twist, Charleston and the adorable charm of Yiddish songs and ballads.

Well, I once crashed my car with a lorry. I had drunk one pint of beer and was speeding. I think it was the beer. Luckily no one was injured. Best of all, the police fined the lorry driver. I'm joking of course, this never happened
DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted October 16, 2019 @maryportfuncity , have you ever had the pleasure of listening to the box set Atomic Platters: Cold War Music From The Golden Age Of Homeland Security? It's full of obscure 50s ballads and ditties about our impending doom. You'd love it!

Just Googled it - a six CD wankfest of weirdness which - apparently - isn't amongst the unfathomable tonnage of tunes on the remote hard drives I keep on shuffle. Currently a snip at £362.84 on Amazon and not on their downloads list. Might try a few of the obvious blog sites and then move on to Spotify. Do actually have a smattering of the cuts - Warren Smith, The Louvin Brothers, Carl Perkins...but loads I've never even heard, thanks

Toast 16,137 Posted October 20, 2019 The Beach Boys, Pet Sounds. I don't understand why this album is so revered and considered to be a masterpiece. Yes, the harmonies are great, but apart from the three songs we all know, the rest are bland fillers.

TQR 14,388 Posted October 24, 2019 New 1975. TOOTIME meets Craig David-esque UK Garage. It's a work of art. It's a 4-minute serotonin shot.

Boudicca 702 Posted October 26, 2019 I've had news of my oldest (the traitor) brother (disgrace to family, county, parish, actually entire Ireland) so it's this again. It's not being played / sung down the phone to him by any DLers on this occasion so that's a bit different. Also Ghosteen was really disappointing and I was even considering paying for it.
