DEATHS OF THE SILVER SCREEN DEADPOOL

Ian Holm is a hit for me here, and puts me one dead Scotsman away from victory.

Ian Holm's turn as Napoleon in Terry Gilliam's Time Bandits provides a second hit for @gcreptile leaving him only Sean Connery away from victory probably the biggest name on the list of finishers now

At this rate, we're going to have half the punters one hit away from victory before anybody wins.

It would have started ages ago if I had been clever enough to pick Honor Blackman .....

Has any other of the chosen films seen three deaths since this began?

I'd forgotten who I'd picked.Turns out I'm waiting on Dick van Dyke, who'll live until he's 150, and 90-year-old Sally Ann Howes, on whom I can't find anything recent, other than a namecheck a week or so ago in an article about all the women who've bounced off Prince Philip's cock in the past.

Not sure, but if someone had picked Scrooge! (1970) we would be well into the second round. It lost 4 cast members in just over a year.

I'm more impressed by Andre Maranne's continued indefatigability tbh.

I am going to be off grid for a week or so for a well earned holiday. I might drop in on the phone but I will not have access to all my spreadsheets so here and at Scavenger Hunt HQ things will probably go wild

It's been a bad time for Bond actors in the Scavenger Hunt so don't lose hope just yet...

@Book gets a 2nd hit with Rhonda Fleming.

We're getting there.

I think this makes six teams on two hits each, and we can add the 92 year old Earl Holliman to the list of actors who can bring the pool to a close.

So with six seven finalists so far, any of these individuals could bring it to a close:

Earl Holliman (92)

Gerald Harper (? 89 or 91)

Gunnel Lindblom (88)

Sean Connery (90)

Jean-Louis Trintignant (89)

Leslie Phillips (96)

EDIT: Jamie Farr (86)

I wonder what they'd have been like in a film together back when they were all still performing...

I think Gerald Harper is 91.  Some sources give his YOB as 1931, but IMDB and others say 1929, which is what I found when I first looked him up.

Jamie Farr as well. He's the sole survivor on @ajlposh list.

I believe no film picked in Round One can be picked for Round Two.

Think we should wait for Biblio to start the round?
