I don't think she'll die.

You must make allowances for my habit of drifting through threads and merely making a comment. Sometimes there is little rhyme or reason. That particular post is my opinion, for no particular reason, I just don't think she'll die this year. I think she's got awhile yet.

Must we? Must we really?

Often, yes... so it would seem.[/over-tired, bickering 9-year-old]

I neither read the book by John O'Hara or saw the movie version of Butterfield-8.

I pray Elizabeth will surely beat the maximum 14 of 50 this year and for many to come. She still looks like an angel and functions as one too, especially for her beloved Michael. I KNOW he is not ready to say good-bye to her. I just wish she would kick back, relax, and enjoy watching the many fruits of he labours......let others of us pick up where she leaves off......furthering her causes (and others) with the gentle and dignified war cry she has demonstrated to us all. I am in gratitude to her for all she has done for sweet Michael. Such beauty......as rare as a blue rose....and lavendar eyes. xoxoxoxoxo, Elizabeth !

Hm.

Sounds me to like dr4g either fancies Michael, or in fact is Michael.

Either way, welcome to the club!

Although I agree that she has a good year or two left in her, I should point out that that article is over a year old and that a lot has happened since then, including her playing up her own likelihood of death, the opposite of what's going on in that article.

Finally, news on a good prospect.

There were a couple of times last year and the year before when she was thought to be close to death only to bounce back. This article sounds like it could be the real deal! We will have to wait and see.

Just to remind those of you who might have forgetten a few key episodes in Taylor's life, I submit these two paragraphs from a piece I wrote a while back.-Ron Price, Tasmania. ________

... By August 1962 when my pioneering life began, the film Cleopatra had been in the making for more than a year. Taylor and Burton were the first celebrities to have the paparazzi following them wherever they went...

-Ron Price with thanks to Margaret Throsby, ABC Radio National, October 19th, 2004, 10:00-11:00 am and to the Movie Review Querie Engine(MRQE).

Your pioneering life?

Stating the bleeding obvious?

Were you the first to do that in Tasmania?

What film was she in again?

While I wish deathlist.net much luck, I personally hope not as my DDP partner-in-death will give me a right rollocking for vetoing putting Liz on our list.

Liz is inching closer to death every day

Aren't we all though?

To be honest, I'll believe it when I see the coffin. Just how many times can the woman circle the drain?

Doctors have said that Oscar-winning actress Elizabeth Tayor is close to death after her heart has begun to fail.

Taylor, 74, is currently confined to her bedroom and has apparently planned her funeral.

Inside sources have revealed that the actress will be buried next to former husband Richard Burton, according to The Daily Mail

"Liz is inching closer to death every day and she knows it. It is not a pretty picture," a friend told the newspaper. "She's not leaving a lot of money to her children. She wants the bulk of her fortune to go to AIDS research."

Doctors say patients who suffer from such heart disease could hasten their death by becoming depressed.

New York-based heart specialist Dr Richard Stein, who has not treated the Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? star, said: "Once a person gives up hope the prognosis is very poor."

Possibly, but hold your horses.

I've seen exactly the same report, nearly two years ago, in The Daily Mail.

If this news report is a take from the original Daily Mail article, as it possibly seems, then it's old news.

I could be wrong, but like Vinegar Tits, I'll believe it when I see it.

Indeed, lets not forget about Haughey earlier on in the month. We thought he was a goner - but no...

Now I'm no doctor, but doesn't this sound like a lot of bullshit? The guy isn't Liz Taylor's doctor, hasn't in fact seen her, and his medical opinion is that because she's sad she's more likely to die soon? I'm aware that they always go on about having a positive frame of mind, etc., but this has slow news day written all over it.

must be a nice atmosphere around the death bed ...

Yes, I expect the children are drawing straws to be the one to press the pillow over her face...

Reports: Liz Taylor has Alzheimer's

Reports in the US have said Elizabeth Taylor is being treated for Alzheimer's disease.

The Oscar-winning actress, 74, has been suffering from dementia for several months, it is claimed.

A source is quoted in American magazine National Enquirer. "Elizabeth is now being treated for the early stages of Alzheimer's," he said. "At this point there is very little that can be done.

"She confided to her specialists that she finds herself more and more confused. Liz wakes up sometimes and really does not know where she is and she's scared."

Liz Taylor has been struck with Alzheimer's! Looking more promising everyday...

That would explain why she was laughing off reports of her dying. She knew she forgot something...

Imagine locking her and Charlton Heston in a room and filming the results, now there's a movie!
