Thanks @msc Well the file on entrants I think must have every living candidate as it has over 13, 000 celebs on it, and this year we have 487 teams so can only have 9740 different celebs at most. (And obviously don't, just see the Drop 40...) Ah ok, xls confuses me (I'm the words guy not the programmer) but it looks like 3396 different picks, of which 2322 are unique. The third question is beyond my knowledge.

Although it was actually about 8,000 unique spellings that had to be pared down to 3396 different picks.

I don't have any chance at all. George Alagiah - Back on TV? F*ck. Noel Conway - Slowly dying, maybe too slowly... David Gulpilil - Why isn't this guy dead already? Yoo Sang-Chul - Clearly has to go at some point, but maybe not this year. Leon Spinks - I'd say it is very unlikely for him to survive this year. 90% chance that he dies before 2021. Nobby Stiles - Haven't seen any news about him. Could go this year, could go later. Alex Trebek - 50/50 chances. Jean-Louis Trintignant - According to sources should be dead already. What is going on? Bill Turnbull - Seems like not going this year... Eddie Van Halen - Nobody really knows when... dead 06/10/2020 So... if I get Smith, Gulpilil, Spinks and maybe 1-2 extras from the list, do I have any chance to win? I doubt it... so better luck next year! The death of Eddie van Halen puts me back on track... kind of...

msc 18,437 Posted October 15, 2020 So, the complete changes to the 2021 DDP: FFBI picks BANNED As a result of the above, two other things aimed as the carrot part of this carrot and stick change. UNIQUE PICKS to be worth FOUR POINTS in 2021. Expanded Qualifying Obits (as far as is fair, but no NYT, Birmingham local mail, etc...) BBC*: bbc.co.uk/news (and all subsections, including the previously banned local news pages) bbc.co.uk/sport bbc.co.uk/newsbeat And from the UK versions of the following: telegraph.co.uk thetimes.co.uk ft.com theguardian.com dailymail.co.uk* express.co.uk* dailystar.co.uk thesun.co.uk* mirror.co.uk morningstaronline.co.uk inews.co.uk heraldscotland.com dailyrecord.co.uk *includes their Scottish equivalents of the same newspaper (As of 1/1/2018, the death announcements section of broadsheet websites, which members of the general public can pay for listings, are excluded) …and from these news sites: uk.reuters.com news.sky.com/uk skysports.com itv.com/news* (this includes local news pages, and STV/UTV) channel4.com/news independent.co.uk cityam.com uk.news.yahoo.com (must be a UK link) radiotimes.com economist.com The notice of death must be in written English. Video links are only accepted if the strapline mentions the celeb’s passing. Qualifying obit sources will be monitored in use and can be eliminated in future years if they promote dross picks unexpectedly. High scores on the teams pages was asked for. Don't hold your breath, we'll see if there's time in January. No daily bonuses as it would bugger up the system. No death announcements (Hatches, Matches, Dispatches) as they can be used to game the game, sorry Willz. And now all the Cmme need to do to prepare for 2021 is to panic over where the circa £80 needed to keep the website running for another year is coming from! (The mystery of why TMIB went nuts becomes less and less of a mystery with each open door backstage...) Sorted! See what a bit of sharing your stresses publicly can fix!
