Clearly no by-election but this does smack of their private polling being absolutely dire and the suggestion that once safe seats will topple. Quite a few now optiing to avoid a Portillo moment. In other news the monarchy likely did Liz Truss a favour, gifting her a few days to look prime ministerial around the death of the Queen. So, it's sort of balanced out today with PopCon (Popular Conservatism) having a press launch and josting for media attention with the wave of concern for the King's health.
