Actually, it appears that Jack The Groove was probably the second house music chart hit, following hot on the heels of the Darryl Pandy/Farley Jackmaster Funk hit Love Can't Turn Around.

The latter I thought more of a dance record at the time, however it seems it is classed as house.

Anyhow, I wasn't part of the acid trippin' rave scene at the time, just a chart watcher.

Emmitt Peters Sr., an Alaska Native who won the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race as a rookie in 1975, has died at age 79 in his home village of Ruby.

Peters died Thursday of natural causes, Alaska State Troopers said.

Peters, an Athabascan, was nicknamed the “Yukon Fox” after his victory in the 1975 race, only the third contest in the 1,000-mile (1,609.3-kilometer) Iditarod.

Note: The story link comes from the source you would expect to report on the Iditarod: The Miami Herald.

Award winning scientist, William Frankland, has died two days ago at the age of 108. He was one of the scientists, or allergists, that discovered how to measure pollen counts during allergy season.

Hope we've all grown up a bit since yesterday (looking those who literally argue for the sake of arguing).  ;)

Lord Bath, King of Longleat has died of COVID-19 at the age of 87.

Clearly never heard of lockdown.

I’d wager most people now have nothing better to do than argue with strangers on the internet. That’s why I’m here...

I’d rather not take a position on this.

These forums in a nutshell:

Gets mad at double-posting news or posting news late in a thread that means absolutely nothing.

Doesn't get mad about people ranting about nonsense, bumping every conceivable thread on the forums with absolutely no news OR hiding any news under the shit ranting.
