Charlotte's Controller 195 Posted November 7, 2020 The original quote was of course Ironic. Many so called successful businesses have been a tangled web of fronts concealing deeper problems. You need look no further than Maxwell as an example. Donny is just a spoilt child who has had his own way in the nursery for too long. Time to grow up, put his big pants on and smell the coffee. Fergie86 374 Posted November 7, 2020 There is a programme on Amazon Prime about Trump and his business dealings in the 80’s and early 90’s called Trump: What’s the deal? It is amazing what he got up to and got away with and how much of a dodgy business man he really is.

Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,218 Posted November 7, 2020 12 hours ago, Joey Russ said: So, I am posting an old video of Barack Obama campaigning in Ohio in 2012. As you can see, he clearly has an energized base. His message was actually inspiring to many Americans (he didn’t fulfill his promises mind you, but that’s a discussion for another day). While you watch this speech from Obama, think of how Hillary Clinton ran her campaign in 2016 and how Joe Biden ran his campaign in 2020. Think about the key differences between Obama then and Hillary and Biden when they ran their campaign. I think most people will agree that this strategy from Obama in 2012 was much better than the Clinton strategy of 2016 and the Biden strategy of 2020. That may be so but it tells you, in a nutshell, why a clusterfuck like Trump managed to get his fat head into the White House. It now looks like America, as we did last year, has voted for the lesser of the two evils as opposed to somebody who really will pull all sides of the political spectrum together, as best as they can. Obama, in hindsight, was a pretty shit President who trod water for his two terms and patted himself on the back afterwards for doing 'a great job' with only his most devoted supporters getting the bunting out in agreement. Biden has fuck all hope of pulling everybody together, his Vice President even less so. The story will run and run.
Thatcher 2,386 Posted November 7, 2020 At least they'll have nice greenery in the background? If Trump and his supporters loved the USA half as much as they say, he would concede and encourage Americans to unite behind their new President. Democracy only works when losers accept the result - I mean just look at all the trouble we had with Brexit

One party gets the Presidency, the voters immediately for the opposition to take control of the Senate/House or vice versa. To be blunt, the American voters time and time again vote for gridlock so that nothing will change, and then moan about why nobody ever changes anything.

TQR 14,384 Posted November 7, 2020 First time the Grauniad’s page has changed in what feels like about five years. Assuming Biden keeps his lead in Nevada, Georgia and Arizona, and Trump keeps his in Alaska and North Carolina, the final EC result should be Biden 306 - 232 Trump. But, of course, this is all wrong: 1

TomTomTelekom 3,727 Posted November 7, 2020 Congrats, Mr. Biden. The White House will need an entire specialty cleaning team in hazmat suits to get rid of the toxic stank its been suffocating in for the past 4 years.
