Country difference, Joey. No one is overshadowing Noakes in the UK. Huge childhood figure for lots of folk aged...35-65, give or take. Well, unless, say, the Queen dies in an hour, of course.

We're really going to struggle for famous new centenarians in 2018 at this rate.

Be intereesting to know where those polls would be with a different Labour leader - Jezza has that Bernie Sanders feel about him.Radical oldster mobilising loads of the disaffected but - apparently - personally unsuited to actually taking power.

Hi, i don't know if there's some french people here. But i would like to make a french speaking deathlist next year. Same rules than deathlist, we just have to choose 50 french speaking people. Cause some of our celebrities are not enough famous for original game.

To be fair (i) it's the Daily Mail, so press is a loose term here, and (ii) I wasn't particularly looking.

GONE WITH NOAKES! 10/50 29th May 2017 Much beloved children's entertainer, John Noakes, has died after a long illness to give The Crowdsourced Deathlist its 10th hit of 2017. Noakes was a familiar face on British TV throughout the 1960s and 1970s, as one of the longest serving presenters on Blue Peter. He was credited with bringing a more daring, boys own adventure style to the series, climbing to the top of Nelson's Column on one occasion, and free-fall parachuting with the RAF on another. He was also well known for his association with the dog Shep (part pet/part trained assassin), appearing in a number of children's shows together until the dog died in 1987. Noakes, aged 83, had been in poor health for a number of years, and appeared at Number 39 on his second appearance in The Crowdsourced Deathlist.

I'm not really an expert of 60's British children shows, but something tells me this John Noakes guy is known. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4551696/Former-Blue-Peter-favourite-John-Noakes-dies-aged-83.html

Now do come along George. It's nearly the end of May. You'd assure your place in history as the first Prez to die in May, no matter what. It's not like you'll be remembered for much else.

Aye, big if mind and bear in mind that the last election and Brexit - as predicted by pollsters - suggest people say touchy feely stuff when they're asked and then turn into self-centred frothing monsters when a ballot paper is presented and they can pull the curtain behind them.

Back in the early days of deathlist, their research wasn't as strong as today's list. Hence why low scores, and still having 8 (though it should be 7 soon due to Noriega's expected demise) on the 1990 list.

I hope you're right. It's about time someone despicable from the 2017 list died...

He still needs to star in the biopic of Robert Mugabe. A great black man he is. For me, he also played the other greatest black man in history, that of that guy in Robin Hood, prince of thieves. This showed how influential black people were in medieval UK, before all the black repression of black people started around the world.
