Sure, have two at once: Trygve Brudevold (wiki), Norwegian Olympic bobsledder (1952, 1956), dead at 100. Ruth Apilado (wiki), American newspaper editor and anti-racism activist, dead at 113. Apilado ofc was the last living person of note (for reasons other than age) born in 1908.

Oldest living football player, Arthur Hoyle Smith, died on the 21st, according to the Bury Times. Link is not loading for me, but Google knows. This seems like a copy/paste job of the original obit: https://sayarimedia.com/2021/08/arthur-smith-bury-times.html?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=arthur-smith-bury-times

https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/just-cook-yer-adelphi-hotel-20654551 Feel this is the best thread for this. I just found out that Brian Birchall who was the deputy manager of the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool died a few months ago in May . The search function didn't show that the news had been posted on here. He was the deputy manager during the 1997 popular fly on the wall BBC documentary series 'Hotel' filmed at the Adelphi. "Just cook will ya!! " is a phrase he was well known for using in the show when berating kitchen staff!

From wikipedia's page of the original series cast members, there is one "reccurring cast member" still living: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/William_Blackburn William Blackburn, born 1929 (92 years old) doesn't have a wikipedia page. He was Lieutenant Hadley, a helmsman in 61 episodes but never talked as the assistant director "told him to just sit there". Uncredited Out of the production crew mentioned Steven W. Carabatsos seems to be the last one living. Credited as writer and script consultant in 12 episodes.

I don't think so, he's too busy wishing death on the president of the United States.

If you've been a lurker here for a while then you'll know that thread creation for one off opinions is frowned upon. There are already several key threads to discuss paces of hits, what you think of the list, who you think should be on it next year etc.

Thats not true. I'm a Royal observer and I couldn't give a fuck. Also, if holding grudges limits life expectancy I'd have been still born.

278 confirmed qualifying deaths last year . We are nearly half that number at the midway point this year in the 2021 list so I am still fairly confident that we will surpass and beat last years total.

He'll obit in the UK because of his spunky backpack, if nothing else. Anyway, there's a thread for him here -
