8 pointsI doubt it. As can be seen from the DDP, only internationally-renowned legends like Lin Brehmer and Augie Nieto get QOs, not nobodies like this Lightfoot clown.

3 pointsTo use a footballing metaphor, hunger strikers for deadpoolers are like Eredivisie top scorers to Premier League teams - they always promise so much but usually deliver fuck-all squared. However, in Khader Adnan alt obits guy found more of a Luis Suarez than a Vincent Janssen. Adnan was a spokesman for Palestinian Islamic Jihad who had spent most of the past 12 years in and out of administrative detention in Israel, and was on his third major hunger strike when his tummy finally gave up this time out. aog goes four up over GUN. alt obits guy 4 vs Grim Up North 0 DevonDeathTrip 0 vs An Fear Baeg 0 gcreptile 0 vs deadsox 0 Banana 0 vs wannamaker 0

3 pointsMe neither, and to be honest I’m struggling to understand it’s popularity. Back in ‘97 I suppose it could have been all the geriatrics reminiscing about Al Bowlly and/or some sort of backlash against Tori Amos, but now?

3 pointsLeonardo da Vinci died on this day 504 years ago, aged 67. - Da Vinci was left-handed, and he would often write backwards, with the letters mirrored. It is believed that a stroke paralyzed his right hand. - Not only was da Vinci passionate about art, but he also loved music. He was a flautist and lyrist, and even wrote some of his own music. - In 1476, da Vinci was charged with sodomy (involving a male prostitute)- the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence. - Da Vinci was rivals with Michelangelo- the latter criticized the former for failing to finish his works, while Da Vinci criticized how muscular Michelangelo's statues were. - Da Vinci moved out of Florence in 1516 after king Francis I of France invited him to become his "Premier Painter and Engineer and Architect". - Da Vinci specifically wanted to be buried at the Château d'Amboise, which was fulfilled. The chateau was largely destroyed during Napoleon's rise to power, and it is believed that some of da Vinci's bones were moved following its destruction.

2 pointsI can sometimes see Trump living to a very old age like Henry Kissinger will, but yes 92-93 years is most likely for Trump imo. Trump has aged very well (he will be 77 next month!) and is not in the frail stages yet.

2 pointsBorje Salming, Stella Stevens and now Gordon Lightfoot. I think wildstorm we should be following your lead.

2 pointsI can't see a problem with posting the death of a WWII vet in the WWII vets thread.

2 pointsSuperBilly is according to his facebook page's latest post back in hospital & ICU from the rehab centre he was in, this time with acute kidney failure and other ailments, last time he had acute kidney failure was two months ago. Keep sending money to Jesus and praying for gofundme. Meanwhile, Abdullah the Butcher has set up a...gofundme too, but it's because his wife left and took the money.

1 pointDead threads need more action! I handed in my notice at the weekend. When I started, I insisted it would be my last retail job. Technically I abided by it, but I was 17 then and I'm 21 now. I'm grieving in the same way people grieve at the end of toxic relationships which went on too long. It's a bizarre feeling. I was there just long enough to witness the well-oiled machine in action, then the pandemic came and shit. Hit. The. Fan. We all received such horrid abuse from the public. I was told to kill myself, etc. My female colleages were held at knifepoint during till grabs. Management didn't really care, except for when their cars were getting keyed by psychos. They sacked the security guard and decided to use twinky old me as a meat shield, because I was the only one over 6 ft. The low point was when a shoplifter 'dropped his loot'. He was pronounced dead on the sales floor. Then the shop reopened the next morning and we carried on like nothing happened. But look at the positives – free expired food! The plan was to juggle college and work. Maybe I saw too many people without a hope in hell of finding a job related to their niche degree. The same doesn't apply to engineering, which by the way is very hard and not something to half-arse. I could've been making moves for the last 3 years, but instead I failed my course (twice) whilst being disrespected for £8-10 an hour. Moronic. I feel like a mug for living in misery when I didn't have to. I didn't know what a scarcity mindset was. Now I have enough saved to put a good chunk down on a nice flat. Every cloud?

1 pointBolivian football success is extremely rare. They've not qualified much for the World Cup and only won one Copa America, a quite remarkable achievement considering Brazil were World Champions and Argentina were regulars World Cup qualifiers. But Chile and Uruguay refused to take part in an event held in Bolivia. One of the key players of that team, Renan Lopez, died last month, aged 83. https://www.lostiempos.com/deportes/futbol/20230310/luto-futbol-nacional-fallece-historico-renan-lopez,. Bolivian records re. former players is rubbish, but he's at least the fourth of the squad to die (Alcocer, Ugarte, Aramayo definitely dead).

1 pointHave you considered... 1. Obama served eight years, Trump only four? 2. Many people get their first grey hairs in their early thirties, with full on grey hair (or no hair at all) by their early fifties. Trump at 69 was already far beyond the age most people turn grey, so four years in office weren't likely to change that. 3. Trump hid his real hair colour and skin complection by dying his hair and usage of Oompa Loompa Skin Care™ products. 4. Your Dorian Gray comparison only seems to work on the "is scared to age and will do anything to make himself look better" front. I don't think Trump looked particularly healthy or youthful in office, and in recent pictures he does look like a normal, if not particularly grumpy, American man in his mid to late seventies. Besides his weight I don't see any imminent (natural) health risks for Trump, on average he looks better than Clinton and worse than Bush. On Biden, yes he his well beyond his prime and seems lost or forgetful more than many other people in their early eighties. But that's no death sentence at that age. Had he not been president but member of the local stamp collection club, people would probably say he was a typical eighty year old.

1 pointWhen Barack Obama was elected U.S. President he had black hair. Eight years later, when he left office, he had white hair. Trump is the President of Dorian Gray. He looked the same going in and coming out, it was the U.S.population - or at least the Democratic half of it - whose hair turned white during his term.

1 pointWell, it may be two years or forty, but I guarantee you will know. Keep the suspence for now and don't worry if I stay away for long periods. If nothing has been written on here, I'll be back sooner or later.

1 pointHe failed his saving throw. Gary is part of the reason I am here. Only one person at my work had heard of him. Well..... shall we have a dice-throw to decide whether that's a good thing or not? Since the first place I saw/heard of him was his guest appearance on Futurama, he always reminds me of the irksome fact that I used to watch it, I'm probably gonna have to give him the thumbs down overall =/ I will cast the first level spell Charm Person bu apparently Dr Z is not affected by Charm spells. For all his faults Gary is important to a good number of people. I never watched Futurama.
