5 pointsAs usual, I'm posting this on behalf of a valued Inverse Dead Pool regular – it's the 2024 machotrouts' mum team: Dennis Skinner Michael J. Fox Janey Godley Joe Biden Yoko Ono Phil Collins Robert Wagner Dave Myers Bob Newhart Jonnie Irwin Buzz Aldrin Frank Field Bruce Willis Dick van Dyke Esther Rantzen William Shatner Joanne Woodward Mel Brooks Andy Taylor Prunella Scales Linda Nolan Roberta Flack Eva Marie Saint Shannen Doherty Rob Burrow SUB: June Spencer As scientific as all of her previous teams. Dennis Skinner is #1 because "aww, he was my nan & granddad's MP, I'm not having him dying".

3 pointsTotally random but thought I'd share. Was copied into this photo earlier today. Charisma Records five-a-side team from just over 50 years ago. Phil Collins in fine shape, the two standing next to him are members of the band Capability Brown, the guy front left is the label's booking agent and the one bottom right is Peter Hammill (still recording aged 75 and obitable). Hammill amazes me tbh, intense and angsty beyond all reason on his best known albums, never thought to see him chipper and cheerful in a team photo. This line-up, apparently, were very effective and won a few games with ease.

2 pointsFrankly this is a dire substitute for entertainment, over a week since a scoring death unless someone hereabouts is about to show me action from their local paper posting the death of a beloved school crossing guard who's also on the masterlist. I'm seeing similar lacklustre times on the other dead pools and even the DDP is shuffling along. In the meantime, here's a update from our sponsors, or summat.

1 pointAdriana Caselotti died on this day 27 years ago, aged 80. - Caselotti had a brief stint as a chorus girl at MGM in 1935- afterwards, Disney noticed her talent, and asked her to be the voice of Snow White: - Caselotti was paid $970 for the role, but her voice went uncredited and she had trouble finding voice work afterwards; Jack Benny asked her to come on his radio show but Walt Disney did not give him permission, stating it would spoil the illusion. - Caselotti would have more film roles in extremely influential movies. The first was in The Wizard of Oz, where she provided the voice of Juliet's "Wherefore art thou, Romeo?" during "If I Only Had a Heart". The other was in It's a Wonderful Life as a singing bar patron. - Her film career ended in 1946, and afterwards she appeared for Disney's promotional events for Snow White. In 1994, she would be named a Disney Legend. - In 1991, Caselotti was brought back by Disney to record for a restored release of Snow White for its 55th anniversary- however, after completion, Disney decided to re-dub her lines with Mary Kay Bergman (later of South Park fame) instead. Caselotti was not notified of this by Disney. - Caselotti was the last surviving voice actor of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

1 pointGood news! The LGBT+ community was well-represented on the DeathList in the 80s and 90s. Bad news! It was because we were dying.

1 pointGerman physicist Georg Quincke died exactly 100 years ago today (89). Quincke's ‘Interference Tube’ is an apparatus that Quincke built in 1866 which demonstrates destructive interference of sound waves. This would lead to our modern day automobile muffler, well after his death obvs.
