Guest DJ Jazzy Death Posted February 17, 2004 I hear Jonah Lomu`s looking for a kidney transplant and the picture of him in the sun the other day didnt bode to well for him id say! The giant winger said he was concerned by how rapidly the nerve problem -- related to dialysis treatment -- had spread last year. hhmm concerned eh??? little sister 2 Posted February 17, 2004 My understanding is that as long as he has regular dialysis he can go on for a few years yet - and the nerve problem just means he'll lose feeling in his legs and need a wheelchair, but I'll still make the offer to feel them for him. love and kisses little sister
Stayin Alive 26 Posted February 17, 2004 I can't help wondering if the New Zealanders' have bigger balls than us?
Death Watch Beatle 41 Posted April 27, 2004 Just like Lazarus, Jonah is back from the dead! http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sports/sportssto...section=general It would of been a bit of a shame if he had of died now. He isn't on this years list. DWB
Grim_Rita 4 Posted May 1, 2004 The fact people emailed him to see if he'd died seems a bit ironic! lol
Grim Reaper 185 Posted May 2, 2004 Good point Rita - presumably if Jonah had not replied, the senders would have had to take that as positive confirmation of the rumour
DevonDeathTrip 2,348 Posted September 30, 2011 Jonah Lomu is in hospital and "in really bad shape'' with kidney problems.
the_engineer 1,414 Posted February 14, 2012 jonah lomu looks like a good bet his replacement kidney needs a replacement . He is even talking that everyone has to die sometime maybe doctors have told him he doesn't have long to live. http://www.bbc.co.uk...-union/17009483
Spade_Cooley 9,459 Posted November 18, 2015 Dead at 40. And just to think only a month or so ago he was starring in terrible faux-viral adverts for some beer company or other.
Fergie86 370 Posted November 18, 2015 Dead at 40. And just to think only a month or so ago he was starring in terrible faux-viral adverts for some beer company or other. Shows you never know when your time is up i suppose, quite surprised at this, quite a shock, know he had Kidney problems in the past but i thought he was ok now, he is one of the all time Rugby greats. RIP.

Bibliogryphon 9,491 Posted November 18, 2015 I didn't know this thread existed or that he was meant to be ill. Not a sports fan (anyone guess that) But this seems to be a Venn diagram death. We have a famous international rugby union player and a renowned New Zealand sports star on the list. But they are three different people.
