Churchill served under King George VI in 1940 and under Queen Elizabeth II from 1952. Just to give 2 vaguely recent examples. yeah but he was only sworn in by one monarch, no prime minister came newly into office under new 2 different monarchs, mainly because nearly all of the multiple-tenure PMs happened under Queen Victoria

For example, perhaps she'll make an appearance in a future Identity Parade lineup on Never Mind the Buzzcocks. I could see her take over as Chelsea manager sometime. TQR 14,414 Posted October 20, 2022 She’s after dinner speaker material, definitely. Seven hours after dinner, when everyone in the room is arseholed to the point of vomiting.

RoverAndOut 4,746 Posted October 21, 2022 If this is true, she could at least have had the decency to wear a balaclava for the past month while she committed daylight robbery.
maryportfuncity 10,662 Posted October 21, 2022 Serious point - this is a lifetime's work gone to shit in six weeks. Does she bother standing again and staying in parliament? I'm imagining the shame and humiliation she's bombarded with by those in the party who never liked her will be a chore from here on in. And she'll be less marketable for directorships and the like than other ex-PMs.

But hard to see her staying on past the next election, if she decides to last that long. Being an MP has been all geared towards this moment she wasn't remotely qualified or suited for. She's not like Theresa May, who loves being a constituency MP too. Boris is only still there on the off chance something like what has happened came to pass, otherwise he'd be off earning mega bucks. Apparently he still got £135,000 earlier this autumn for speaking at an insurance conference in America, so it seems remaining MP hasn't stopped him anyway.
