"75th past Oscar Winner reunion" sweepstake

Recommended Posts

Found this amazing video of Olivia De Havilland presenting the former Oscar Winner at the 75th Oscar Ceremony in 2003

A lot of them are dead now. I thought it would be fun to have a sweepstake with the remaining one.

Here are the nominees remaining in order of apparition in the video

Nicole Kidman (b. 1967) : best actress for The Hours in 2003

Adrien Brody (b. 1973) : best actor for The Pianist in 2003

Out of all of them, some are quite young (the youngest is Hillary Swank born in 1974) so not worth considering for now, others have been forum favorite (Michael Caine, Rita Moreno), others are not so much talked about (Joel Grey, Claude Jarman Jr.) and the oldest of them all is Eva Marie Saint born 1924.

Of course some of them on the list won additional Oscars after 2003 but I didn't include them (Meryl Streep for example).

Choose who you think will be the next nominee to leave the stage. One winner per person and you can't choose the same as someone else : be fast.

New round every death.

Good Luck.

Think you may have the wrong year for Marlee Matlin's win (or her birth date is wrong, in which case I change my pick to her!)

In which case I pick Eva Marie Saint, if that's okay with you.

He hasn't got Matlin's birth date wrong, so I'm sticking with Saint, sorry!

Sorry, already taken.

Feel free to pick Eva Marie Saint, I'm sure that option is still there...

EDIT: For the sake of BuffaloPhil, please do not pick Eva Marie Saint.

It would seem this 'sweepstake' will take possibly decades no? What happens when the amount of names is less than the participants, first come first serve?

A lot of options with many different birth years....In the same vein of the oldest state leaders, except the ages vary widely here. When does it end?

There was a bigger past Oscar Winner reunion in 1998, for its 70th anniversary.

If anyone is interested, I or someone else can start a sweepstake for this larger past Oscar Winner reunion. I think 70 names appeared here, granted more of them are probably dead.
