It's a difficult one. My honest opinion is that we should ignore Diego's vote given how he expressed his lack of opinion on what's left and his vote today again has clearly only been for the purpose of closing the gap. But I don't want to be accused, as host, of trying to fix the result, given that ignoring Diego's vote equals three more points for the song I was voting up.

My opinion (fwiw) is that he was included for the round. If his behaviour warrants a further ban then this should be for future rounds of the games but I am not the game runner

My very clear suggestion to him yesterday was just to sit the rest of the final out for the integrity of the game; someone mindlessly fucking with the numbers at this late stage could swing the result a different way to what it would've been. Still undecided tbh but I'll go with what people think.

If it was me, I'd cancel his scores.  You made your opinion very clear.

Looking back, I did ask @diego to sit it out after he admitted he has no opinion. He elected instead to the same thing today, scoring to even the numbers up rather than what his song of choice is. I think today's one doesn't count. He can join in again when the 90s game starts (if he promises to score properly), which'll probably be tomorrow.

 

Incidentally, removing Diego's pointless efforts to close up the scoreboard have now made the scores closer than ever, so I'm sure he'll be happy with being cancelled anyway.

The original version of Take On Me just gets my vote by a whisker

 

The reworked, acoustic version wins by a country mile. It's probably the best example I've ever heard of a band reworking their own song. Just stunning.
