Status Quo - Rockin' All Over the World

I have a double experience of this song. I have seen it performed live at the same venue by the original artist and the cover band.

Hyde Park 2012 - John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, who wrote the song and had a US hit with it.

Hyde Park 2019 -  Status Quo, whose version is the best known.

Bloody Yanks....Fahrenheit, their own gallon size, fifth's for alcohol and a completely ludicrous way of putting dates that totally confuses the rest of the world because the order makes no sense.

As you were. :P.

Edit. Oh and cups as a measurement for cooking. What's that all about?

It's so simple! A cup is 236.6ml for liquids, 110g for sifted flour, 200g for granulated sugar, 100g for icing sugar, 190g for uncooked rice, 150g for chopped nuts, 120g for ground nuts...

I'm being facetious and cups are the silliest fucking measurement in existence. I skip past all recipes that measure anything in cups. Stupid cunts.

I once bought wine in the US, the cashier asked for a date of birth for age verification, so being British I gave a date in the sensible order, I got a very confused look in response.

I have also discovered cup measuring spoons in Sainsbury's, which have been useful. They're not much good for chopped vegetables though, too small to get good sized chunks in.

A stick of butter I do understand (I think) - their packs of butter are made up of 4 'sticks' of ¼lb each! Hence a stick = 4oz.

Land O'Lakes stick salted butter

To be honest I'm surprised Manuel lasted as long as he did (but disappointed it reach the final).
