Sir John Williams, especially since he started cancelling his performances in recent months due to his health, and I wholeheartedly second the returns of Yoko Ono, Douglas Hurd, and David Attenborough.

 

Others I wouldn't object to seeing on the list next year:

 

Yuri Oganessian - Famous enough, but not necessarily one I expect to ever grace the DL with his presence.

 

Donald P. Bellisario - If Norman Lear can make it, the creator of Magnum, PI and Quantum Leap can too.

 

Trisha Goddard - Easily meets the fame requirements, and has terminal cancer. She may be one to revisit this time next year, but you never know.

 

Alan Oppenheimer - Still attending events, but is clearly declining, in a wheelchair now, and 95 next April.

Frankie Valli is one I"m not quite sure about. Yes he's frail, and lip syncs at his shows so much. However, based on what he says in interviews, he seems to still love touring and putting on a great show for his fans. I honestly think he could go downhill once his touring ends, as this is what helps him maintain a good quality of life.

 

I'd put Jack Hanna on this list as well. Guy is an American treasure but has been "rapidly going downhill" with dementia for a few years now. I watched a video from last year and while his family is doing a great job being caregivers, he definitely has aged and I'm seeing signs of dementia that I knew with loved ones having it, and these were in the last few years.

 

Mike Ditka's family says he is not in hospice, but with no appearances and interviews over the last few years, I can't help but wonder if his health is failing and getting near the end.
