Bob McGrath could be included since he did appear in the Sesame Street film Follow That Bird

I did consider him, though given the large number of other names to choose from, I would be very surprised if he was included for appearing in a few Sesame Street films alone.

They always do it so much better than the Oscars

Loved it! No Bob Saget, but I guess that makes sense.

I also thought they should have shown a clip of Aladdin for Gilbert Gottfried.

But otherwise, I was satisfied with it.

Not one of their best to be honest. I think they should have included Betty White. A few other snubs as well.

Edit: Only 77 names this year. There were 92 last time round. They could have definitely included some more names.

I agree. I was initially thinking they didn't include her because she died in 2021, but then they included Jean-Marc Vallée so they didn't really have an excuse for not including her.

Who?

This man.
he won 2 Cesars, one in 2004 for « A very long engagement » the other one in 2016 for « it’s only the end of the world ». He was one of the most talented french actor of his generation and people compared him a lot with Alain Delon before his death aged 37 in mid january in a ski incident during the Chamonix festival Which he was supposed to attend. He was Chanel egerie for more than 10 years and played in some of the most iconic french movie of the last 30 years : Yves Saint Laurent, Hannibal Lecter, The Sea Wall, Jacquou le Croquant… he was one of the most handsome and acclaimed contemporary actor in french. (There is a lot of full frontal nudes that you can find of him on internet from several movies he played in, you can thank me later)

Mylène demongeot was a popular actress Who died some weeks ago after a short battle with cancer which she battled years before. She was the Same generation as Bardot, Delon, Belmondo and quite as famous as them (maybe a little bit less I admit but still very well known in France). She played in the very popular movie Fantomas which is a Classic in France with Louis de Funès and Jean Marais. Nominated to 2 Cesar in the 00´s. Played in famous movies like Bonjour Tristesse from Sagan’s book alongside Déborah Kerr and Jean Seberg, Be Beautiful but Shut Up with Alain Delon and Belmondo (she had the first role there) and The Crucibles (1957) with both legends Simone Signoret and Yves Montand. She was A list in France, as was Gaspard Ulliel

We really need a "phwoarrrr!" reaction.

(That was prompted by Gaspard, not Mylène, although she is lovely.)

He reminds me a bit of someone, I'll post in Lookie Likey.

He was handsome, I remember having a bit crush on him some years ago and I think I wasn’t the only one

I get the impression this isn’t their final cut.

It’s only Dec 18th, and they haven’t posted the tribute on their Facebook page as they usually do.

A late in the year hit for me in my Blueberry Crumble team- not a unique pick but still a 'hit'.

Strangely enough, not for me either. I suspect we both thought a certain unique as (as far as I know) this was Hodges' first year on the list. Cn anyone on the committee (or a past showrunner) confirm?

I do have the consolation of him being my joker.

I will need to rummage through my paperwork but I think I might have had him one year- although it could have been a different pool to DDP.  Maybe in 2020?

I've posted a full list of the 77 names featured in the TCM tribute above now.

Can anyone tell me who the bloody hell these two are, and why their deaths are more notable than Sally Kellerman, Betty White, Louie Anderson or Bob Saget? Are TCM now taking bribes from families to include people in their tributes or something?

Was watching Wayne Grace yesterday actually. He's the director in Mulhullond Drive! One of those US TV and film faces. He was also the sherrif in a famous episode of the X files.

He has 022 in his code, so yes, this was his first year in the DDP.

I think that clip of Wayne Grace is from Dances With Wolves.
