American actor Ralph Ahn (wiki), dead at 95, according to a tweet from Karla LaFebre of the Motion Picture Association of America

Had several Hollywood film credits in the 50s/60s (mainly uncredited ones), as well as later supporting roles on TV, including The Golden Girls. Also brother of legendary U.S. actor Philip Ahn (1905–1978) and Susan Ahn Cuddy (1915–2015) who was the first Asian-American woman to join the U.S. Navy.

A unique pick on the DDP.

Re-watched Magnum Force this week. Notably enough, Clint Eastwood (1930), Hal Holbrook (1925) and Mitchell Ryan (1928) are all alive in their 90s. Who will go first? The most likely answer is David Soul!

Post here that Mitchell Ryan may have died (after Hal Holbrook of course):

Obviously Lethal Weapon as well, also appeared in Star Trek TNG as Will Ryker's father, but not a pick in the current Scavvy Hunt. Voiced Greg's father on Dharma And Greg.

Any news on the Book of Face to back up this Dark Shadows' fanpost?

IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0752751/

IBDB: https://www.ibdb.com/broadway-cast-staff/mitchell-ryan-80871

Never seemingly picked for the DDP.

I recognised the face and the name but I couldn't place where exactly from until I remembered he was in North and South as Tillett Main. Sorry to hear this (presuming it is indeed confirmed).

I've seen the post on FB via somewhere else and now reported by Soap Hub (yeah, who?), so looks generally accepted and we'll see US obits in due course. Depending on space, should be UK ones as well.

Hollywood Reporter obit for Mitchell Ryan.

Defo a name for the annual TCM reel, guaranteed due to him playing the main villain in Lethal Weapon.

Laurel Goodwin, who made her movie debut opposite Elvis Presley in Girls! Girls! Girls! and starred alongside Jeffrey Hunter in “The Cage,’ the rejected first pilot made for Star Trek, has died. She was 79.

Goodwin died Feb. 25 in Cathedral City, California.

Goodwin was cast as Yeoman J.M. Colt opposite Hunter as Capt. Christopher Pike and Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock in “The Cage” for Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek. The pilot, finished in early 1965, didn’t sell.

Pictures of James Caan from an event held in LA Tuesday celebrating the 50th anniversary of Godfather:

Saw the 50th Anniversary screening of 'The Godfather' last weekend, and saw the screening of 'The Godfather Part II' this week. Seen both before many times but seeing them on the big screen was superb, both absolute masterpieces. I'll be back next weekend for 'Part III', which is still a fair watch if not as good as the first two. Anyway, got me thinking about the cast, with many already gone and others seriously getting on. Here's a list of the casts from the first two films:

The Godfather

Marlon Brando (Don Vito Corleone) - 1924-2004

Al Pacino (Michael Corleone) - b. 1940 (82 in April), still working

Abe Vigoda (Sal Tessio) - 1921-2016

Talia Shire (Connie Corleone) - b. 1946 (76 in April),  most recent credit 2020

Gianni Russo (Carlo Rizzi) - b. 1943 (turned 78 in December)

John Cazale (Fredo Corleone) - 1935-1978

Rudy Bond (Don Cuneo) - 1912-1982

Al Martino (Johnny Fontaine) - 1927-2009

Morgana King (Mama Corleone) - 1930-2018

Lenny Montana (Luca Brasi) - 1926-1992

Johnny Martino (Paulie Gatto) - b. 1937 (85 in May), most recent credit 2012

Salvatore Corsitto (Bonasera, the Undertaker) - 1913-1999

Richard Bright (Al Neri) - 1937-2006

Alex Rocco (Moe Green) - 1936-2015

Simonetta Stefanelli (Apollonia Vitelli-Corleone) - b. 1954 (turned 67 in November), quit acting in 1992, now runs a fashion store in Rome, has been the victim of death hoaxes (just in case you read something about her dying)

Tony Giorgio (Bruno Tattaglia) - 1923-2012

Angelo Infanti (Fabrizio) - 1939-2010

Franco Citti (Calo) - 1935-2016

Joe Spinell (Willi Cicci) - 1936-1989

Corrado Gaipa (Don Tommasino) - 1925-1989

The Godfather Part II (Excluding those already mentioned above)

Tom Rosqui (Rocco Lampone) - 1928-1991

B. Kirby Jr. (Young Peter Clemenza) - 1949-2006

Frank Sivero (Genco Abbandando) - b. 1952 (70), most recent credit 2008, made the news in the mid-2010s for suing The Simpsons (case dismissed)

Harry Dean Stanton (FBI Agent) - 1926-2017

Director: Francis Ford Coppola - b. 1939 (83 in April), still working

Writer: Mario Puzo - 1920-1999

Music: Nino Rota - 1911-1979

The Editors and Cinematographers are all deceased too.

Most of the supporting cast are now gone, but 4 of the 5 Corleone siblings are still going in their late 70s-early 90s, as is the director. I'll add the names from Part III next week.

Laurel Goodwin was the last living credited cast member from the original pilot of Star Trek. Though surprisingly, its director Robert Butler (wiki) is still alive and turns 95 in October.

Sally Kellerman, who was one of the lead actors in the second pilot episode, died on Feb 24th, just a day before Goodwin!

Bit like the spoof version of Casino Royale, featured David Niven, Peter Sellers, Ursula Andress, Woody Allen, Orson Welles to name but a few and was utterly dreadful

Hamilton looking very well though. Not someone who'll be vying for a DL spot for another few years IMO

That was really tough for me to watch.  She didn't look good at all.

I adore Liza  she truly has weathered so much adversity in her life.  In one sense it was nice to see her, she got a warm loving reception  but in another sense it was a real hard difficult watch. :(

Yeah it really was.  She didn't look like a person who is going to be alive in a few years.  The physical frailty was obvious, but she wasn't even all-there mentally, either.  It was clear she was disoriented pretty easily and Gaga, bless her, really tried to help her out and offer support.
