Goodwin was cast as Yeoman J.M. Colt opposite Hunter as Capt. Christopher Pike and Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock in “The Cage” for Gene Roddenberry’s Star Trek. She didn't look like a person who is going to be alive in a few years. The physical frailty was obvious, but she wasn't even all-there mentally, either.
