The Beatles Death Curse

Died in January but cannot find a mention of him anywhere on here. Even had a song named in his honour. Harry Pinsker: Accountant who took charge of The Beatles’ finances (msn.com)

And now nobody will ever find it in future because you've included both searchable terms, "accountant" and "Harry Pinsker", in the hyperlink.

Does it have to be said a million and one times on here? – MAKE YOUR POSTS SEARCHABLE.

No. He is the Greta Garbo of the Beatles thread. (Edited original. It is now searchable)

Ringo has just tweeted this photo of himself. Assuming it's recent, he looks good for 80

From the Grammy's on Sunday night. Sounds as well as he looks too!

Never mind the obvious hair dye, Ringo could easily pass for 20 years younger than he is. I wonder if he will be the last Beatle standing?

His health as a kid was so frail it fucked over his education (missed so much school because he was in hospital for ages), after which he chose to become an alcoholic

All things considered, the current Ringo is a testament to the man's inner strength - he's a hugely underestimated figure in many ways (influence on others, his mentorship of others battling addictions etc.) Summat of a legend, frankly - long may he continue!

Geoff Emerick chief recording engineer, has died at the age of 72

Ah, the golden age of Willz deadpooling! Anyway...

Items from Emerick's estate being auctioned off...should make a pretty penny given his attachment to the Four: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-58228053

The first female to appear on a Beatles record.

No - Yellow Submarine featured backing vocals from Pattie Boyd and Marianne Faithful. She may have been the first to play an instrument on one, though.

And this is why I should stop taking Wikipedia at face value :P

Viola player Ken Essex, who seemingly was around 101, and who played on Yesterday, dead: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2021/10/18/ken-essex-lso-principal-viola-accompanied-beatles-hit-yesterday/

Last year, big story in the Leicester Mercury with a great summary of his career, for those who cannot access the Telegraph's obit. Played with Johnny Dankworth, played on the themes for Fawlty Towers and Last Of The Summer Wine, orchestra member at Brighton at the 1974 Eurovision: https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/local-news/viola-talent-who-played-beatles-4375634

One for IMDB referral if anyone's interested.

Ken Essex, born July 20 1920, died October 11 2021 - according to the Telegraph. A good old age.

I've already submitted to IMDb. May get a Wiki page too.

What happens when you are abandoned naked in London's dockland and you have to dress yourself from a bag of clothes left outside a charity shop

I think we can safely say he avoided any curse.

One of my earliest picks on the DDP, journalist Maureen Cleave who had several interviews with the Fabs including the infamous "more popular than Jesus" Lennon quote, dead aged 80 with a Times Obit: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/maureen-cleave-obituary-mn3zn3lph (Paywall).

Really sad, RIP.

The obit says born in 1934, so 87?
