The title of the world’s oldest man now belongs to Koide, a resident of the central Japanese city of Nagoya, who was born in March 1903, according to the health ministry. It's in the report. Prior to that, it had been a cluster of British colonies. I decided to look up the last surviving colonial Australian and it seems to be one Mrs Miriam Schmierer who died in September 2011 at 112 years of age: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miriam_Schmierer The current oldest llving Australian is Ethel Farrell, born on the 27th of November 1902, when the country was still under two years old. Mrs Farrell, was however, born over in India (also, of course, a British colony at that time.)
