honez 79 Posted October 27, 2010 Thatcher discussing an assassination attempt... It was a lovely morning. We have not had many lovely days. And the sun was just coming through the stained glass windows and falling on some flowers right across the church and it just occurred to me that this was the day I was meant not to see Indeed, the loveliest day is just around the corner, it seems. gettingOLD! 0 Posted October 27, 2010 An ex-pat living in Bulgaria writes... Those waiting to crack open champagne the moment they hear a former prime minister dies must be really sad and twisted individuals Twisted maybe, sad no. The quote does seem a little odd coming from an ex-pat , why an ex-pat? maybe left the sinking ship when the Lady came to power with all her Public school conservative cronies started to ruin this great country!!!! I for one will gladly drink a toast to her passing. The sooner the better.

Rotten Ali 600 Posted October 28, 2010 Rotten Ali.. shame on you referring to her as a witch.. thas an insult to the witches.. lol I went on a blind date once and found out that said girl was a white witch. Very off putting. As is Mrs T. Any way I was only using a quote that amused me.

Memento Mori 12 Posted October 28, 2010 I don't anticipate that Mrs T is going anywhere soon. She - IMHO- is going to be one of those who lingers for what might seem like an age. Nothing less than a stake through the heart to see her on her way, if you ask me!

time 8,596 Posted October 29, 2010 If she's 'fine', why the extended hospital stay? http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Politics/...ain_In_Hospital Given that it's a private hospital, why would they be in any hurry to discharge her?
lastorders 15 Posted October 29, 2010 That site.....run by our spiritual brothers and sisters, obviously. Make no bones, it'll be a major cultural event knocking most of the 'signifificant deaths' Chicago and co blather on about into a cocked hat... Plus half of the DDP are wagering on this, and probably even more should she stagger on to 2011. I only hope me and the Deathlist don't come up with the same pun! The Lady's For Interring U-turning in her grave? Where does one procure those "Hated By The Daily Mail" badges on a wholesale basis? You'd make a killing at the next May Day riots. The middle class drop outs slumming it with with a can of White Lightning would lap them up.

Rotten Ali 600 Posted November 22, 2010 Blinking news reporters... Just caught a moment of Peter Allen going on about a previous secretary of education... And talking about "she was"... I put these two half bits of info together a bit too well... Only now finding out that it's only just that it was twenty years ago today that Mrs T left office... Oh well... Now I'm here and felling a bit daft and deflated... We live in hope.
