Probably an entire wing there once devoted to Last of the Summer Wine actors/actresses although not any more. I wonder who the eldest Equity member is now who lives there? Once John Mills, his wife & her brother (Gerald Sim) all lived there.

Gerald Sim was Richard Attenboroughs brother in law not John Mills.

I definitely think most actors and actresses over a certain age are there.I know it was rumoured Glynis Johns was . I reckon it is a safe bet that the likes of Leslie Philips and William Russell live there.

Isn’t Glynis Johns in a care home in the States?

It’s been said on here at times that she is in LA but also that she is in London.

Iirc Russell lived near Cricklewood which is a few miles away from Denville.

Glynis Johns is in a Belmont senior village in the US.

I thought Glynis Johns was in Motion Picture place, in Woodland Hills, LA, CA, in the same care house with legendary animator Ruthie Tompson who died.

Yes, my mistake. Wrong acting dynasty! It was indeed Lord (Richard) Attenborough, his wife Sheila Sim & her younger brother Gerald who spent their final years there. In fact the Attenboroughs had been involved in fund raising previously for that very home. Sheila Sim was often confused with the actress Sylvia Sims who is 88 & to the best of my limited knowledge does not live there.

Possibly off-topic but I wonder what the most recent UK sitcom is where every regular is dead? Oh No It’s Selwyn Froggitt (1974-1978) is one.

Depends what you mean by regular, ha!

In Loving Memory (1979-1986) was centred round Thora Hird and Christopher Beeny who by far appeared in the most episodes and both of whom are dead.

True, regular can be quite a difficult to define thing.

Selwyn Froggitt is quite interesting to me - a big regular cast and yet most of them were dead by 2000.

Robert Keegan (1924 – 1988)

Ray Mort (1926  1994)

Rosemary Martin (1936 – 1998)
Muguette Mary "Megs" Jenkins (1917 – 1998)

Bill Dean (1921 – 2000)

Harold Goodwin (1917 – 2004)

Bernard Gallagher (1929 – 2016)

Bill Maynard (1928 – 2018)

Lynda Baron (1939 – 2022)

Brian Murphy would appear to be ok shape then if he's able to do these things

Of course, I can't think dragging a 90 year old out on a cold winter's night would do him any harm at all.

Ruth Madoc is a DDP pick for this year. The daily hits keep coming...

More survivors of It Ain't Half Hot Mum than Hi-De-Hi by my reckoning.

Reptile got to 260. Since then: Madoc, Johnson (Dambuster), Jet Black = 263?

16 needed for the record, 21 days.

Helen Slayton-Hughes even got a Mail obit so that's another one.

Stevie Allen, who played Manky Frankie in Still Game, reportedly dead: https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/tv/10449890/still-game-star-tragically-dies/

Couple of Taggarts and an episode of Soldier Soldier under his belt, as well as others.

According to IMDb, appears as if Still Game was his last acting role. He'd been working for the Scottish Ambulance Service, and had been a competitor on Bargain Hunt (2011).

Anyway, not one of the Still Gamers in my DDP team.

Well, she wouldn't, would she?

Aside - don't know if it's been mentioned but she's revealed that Pam St Clements uses cannabis to help her with her hip problems. Some of us barely can afford porridge, love!

Not sure I can compete with Love Thy Neighbour but To The Manor Born has its three main leads (Penelope Keith, Angela Thorne & Peter Bowles) and a fair number of bit parts still present as well.

Thought I better get this in before Gerald Sim died.

Angela Thorne dead aged 84. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/22742832/angela-thorne-dead-legendary-actress-84/

Personally I preferred her turn in Three Up, Two Down.
